If you're using ElevenLabs.io's text-to-speech services for your AI projects and paying monthly fees for access, you may want to check out OpenAI Text To Speech | Advanced Voice Engine Technology's free or premium services. The free service offers unlimited text to speech per month for now. The premium service costs $8 per 200,000 non-expiring credits (characters) for High Quality Voice or 100,000 non-expiring characters for HD Quality Voice. For comparison, ElevenLabs charges $22/mo for 140,000 characters/mo that expire after 2 months if not used. ElevenLabs' monthly credits: "Generation on the platform consumes credits with different tools and models consuming different credits. Credit counts reset each billing cycle, and you can roll over up to 2 months' worth of credits at a time." TTS OpenAI has a wide variety of voices available, selectable by gender and age (and accent, I think). After producing the audio file, it's downloadable for both free and premium accounts. You can access the online dashboard for free at https://ttsopenai.com/ or use the OpenAI API for $15 per million characters (not tokens). Only 6 voices are available through the API, however.
