Free Unlimited (For Now) Text-To-Speech Audio With TTS OpenAI
If you're using ElevenLabs.io's text-to-speech services for your AI projects and paying monthly fees for access, you may want to check out OpenAI Text To Speech | Advanced Voice Engine Technology's free or premium services. The free service offers unlimited text to speech per month for now. The premium service costs $8 per 200,000 non-expiring credits (characters) for High Quality Voice or 100,000 non-expiring characters for HD Quality Voice. For comparison, ElevenLabs charges $22/mo for 140,000 characters/mo that expire after 2 months if not used. ElevenLabs' monthly credits: "Generation on the platform consumes credits with different tools and models consuming different credits. Credit counts reset each billing cycle, and you can roll over up to 2 months' worth of credits at a time." TTS OpenAI has a wide variety of voices available, selectable by gender and age (and accent, I think). After producing the audio file, it's downloadable for both free and premium accounts. You can access the online dashboard for free at https://ttsopenai.com/ or use the OpenAI API for $15 per million characters (not tokens). Only 6 voices are available through the API, however. I'm guessing the online dashboard is where you'll see ads, but I haven't created an account and logged in, so I haven't seen any yet. Free tier: - Create speech from text - Can download audio files - Access to voice library Premium tier: - Create speech from text up to 10 K characters - Retry unlimited times with half price - Use HD voice - Document to speech - Can download audio files - Create my voice - Access to voice library - Create story from text - A few Ads - Up to 200 MB per document 1,000 credits = 1,000 characters with High Quality Voice (500 characters with HD Quality Voice) Check out the videos covering the overview, step-by-step demos, and info on TTS OpenAI on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdDdyu2k20A&list=PL8DoYyQx5K5GRv_4q5zL7rCKsNEtXH8dN

Preview of Open AI's Latest LLM Model Released
https://openai.com/index/introducing-openai-o1-preview/ We've developed a new series of AI models designed to spend more time thinking before they respond. They can reason through complex tasks and solve harder problems than previous models in science, coding, and math.Today, we are releasing the first of this series in ChatGPT and our API. This is a preview and we expect regular updates and improvements. Alongside this release, we’re also including evaluations for the next update, currently in development.

Funny how @Claire Davis and @Katherine Thomas are the same person or bot, posting and liking each persona's posts to get 5 likes each in as many minutes. So, now she can post new threads and chat with other community members after joining the community only minutes before. Hope it's not spam-related.

@Tomi Shopify Admins will ban the bots if we report them enough times. Apparently, the Jessica bot hasn't been reported enough times, because it's targeted your post for it's owner's spam. I just now reported this Jessica bot to the admins.

For Beginning Python Students: Additional Python Coding Challenges
I'm just starting to learn Python, but I know from learning other programming languages that writing numerous programs in the new programming language cements how to use the new language in my mind. Here are quite a few free Python coding challenges for Python students at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels: https://www.101computing.net/category/python-beginner/ https://www.101computing.net/python-challenges-intermediate-level/ https://www.101computing.net/category/python-advanced/ 300 solutions are available if you need help programming in Python, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, LMC, SQL, etc., but that requires registering as a member for £35 per year (about US$45 at today's exchange rates). If I truly got stuck, I would probably just post a question on Stackoverflow.com or else choose another programming challenge. Here is the list of solved challenges for members: https://www.101computing.net/solved-challenges/

@James Carver Thanks for the offer. It's good to have others to collaborate with who are at the same stage.
