This AI-generated grandma thwarts scammers with long stories about her cat
'I've got all the time in the world.' AI-generated UK grandmother named “Daisy” is trying scammers’ jobs a bit more tedious. UK mobile operator Virgin Media O2 created Daisy in order to speak with bad actors and waste as much of their time as possible. Using ChatGPT-like large language models, Daisy will ramble on about her passion for knitting and tell long-winded, fabricated stories about family members with the goal of keeping scammers on the line. In theory, every minute spent frustratingly chatting with Daisy about its made-up family or daily chores is one less minute a scammer could be targeting a real person. https://www.popsci.com/technology/ai-grandma-scammers/

My mother passed a little over a year ago, but the increased scam attempts on older women is very real. Because cognitive decline is real, some of them almost succeeded before she almost too late figured out what was going on. How long before AI is talking to AI with these things, and how patient will an AI scammer be? We live in such interesting times.

Natural Language to SQL Agent with Cohere and LangChain
This tutorial demonstrates how to create a SQL agent using Cohere and LangChain. The agent can translate natural language queries coming from users into SQL, and execute them against a database. This powerful combination allows for intuitive interaction with databases without requiring direct SQL knowledge. https://docs.cohere.com/page/sql-agent-cohere-langchain

I actually use Cohere a lot myself, although they don't get a lot of attention. I find that it summarizes well. has had document, web access, and an URL spider for a long time and is therefore quite useful. Of course, it does python, too. It's been good enough that I am still not paying for an AI. That may change soon, as I move towards doing more economically important tasks with AI.
NEO Agent - AI Building ML Tools is Here
https://heyneo.so/ "NEO is the first AI engineer for machine learning engineering. It automates the entire ML workflow and saves developers thousands of hours of grunt work. It is a system of agents that solves a singular problem in parallel." "NEO streamlines machine learning workflows, enabling engineers to build and deploy pipelines 10x faster. Developed with a keen understanding of the needs of machine learning professionals, NEO is designed to learn from humans in the loop just like an intern." "NEO is here to transform the world of ML engineering. So that, ML engineers can spend their time on innovation instead of all the grunt work and cut down tasks that takes weeks into a few hours."
