T. This was neither a strong open, or a continuation play. This was just a flat out poor choice of a stock to trade. I saw T up 3% pre market. 3%. lol. SMCI was the only stock up in pre market about 8% and was on my watchlist from yesterday, having been up 28%. I looked at the daily chart on T and noticed it was currently trading above the 52wk high. So I figured if this pushed up at open, there was no strong resistance in sight. In hindsight, it didn’t matter. I had continuation plays on my watchlist that were up between 12-49% yesterday. This stock hit absolutely none of my criteria lol. Up 10% or more yesterday? Nope. Up 10%ish pre market? Nope. LOL. What a jack. lol. Anyway, had an entry order set at 23.51 a penny above the high of the 15 min candle going into open. Filled a couple cents below at 23.49. Risk was the 38% Nacci level at 22.81 and PT was 2:1 at 24.83. When the price reached 24.03 and reversed I raised my stop to the low of the open candle. When the stock pulled back and started trading sideways I raised my stop to a couple Pennie’s above my entry. RULE #1 Cut losses quickly 🤌

@Mikey Auskings green day to finish! sweet my bro. December goals, excellent!!! rule #1, cut losses quickly. me thinks, if you treat each trade as its own, with a fraction of your 4% daily risk, you will be a profitable trader indeed. the data is the data. you have some spectacular wins. and you like taking multiple trades every day, that just simply is what it is. that's who you are. so curtail your risk management to perfectly fit your personality. avoid allowing yourself to risk 4% on each individual trade. perhaps come up with a hard X amount of daily trades. instead five trades one day, seven trades another, three another...max yourself to X amount and do this consistently. divide your daily 4% risk by that number, and let that be your hard line risk amount on each individual trade. do that, i know for a fact, just off the data of your trades, you will be a green machine. food for thought.

@Mikey Auskings right! man i didnt have a pullback opportunity on Wednesday and initially i was like well, a day off lol, but then started thinking about it more and more. looked over charts and looked for a strategy with entry risk and pt. leading into open, got the 15 min chart pulled up to see the high and low of the most recent three candles, including the one going into open. set a buy order a penny above the high, risk is at the low, and pt double that. a variation of the earnings reaction setup derek taught us. i wouldn't be surprised if this becomes my go to setup moving forward, and the pullback setup being 1b.
Happy Thanksgiving!

@Mikey Auskings that lasted all but about 4 seconds 😂🤣 lol crack me up man. plus side, green for the week. plus, realization for risk management and a max loss amount per day. 2(or more):1, critical. (i'm reading this after writing out my lesson learned this week in the thread). keep things uniform, half the weeks profits aren't given back in one losing trade right. plus, you still find a way to laugh and have fun, critical. plus, live to trade another day.
