@Michael Ford I'm not positive, but on Webull, I don't think orders will fill automatically during pre market or after hours, only during standard hours 8:30-4, so you may have to manually close, otherwise it may sit until 8:30 Monday and execute based on market open. Not sure how it is on TOS, but I thought only limit orders were effective during PM and AH as well.
Trade Idea #3 For the Week: Full Truck Alliance (YMM)
Trade Idea: YMM Trade Type: Small Cap Gap Grade: C (25% of normal position size) Entry Criteria: Price opens at or below 9.94. Buy stop limit order at $9.95. Target 1: $10.44 Target 2: $10.94 Target 3: $11.44 Target 4: $11.94 Target 5: Trailing Stop Hard stop: 4 hour close below $8.89 Trail stop after the first price target is hit. Rationale: YMM gapped up today on a positive earnings report and a stellar earnings call. Their income increased 81.4% year over year. Their revenue is up 33.9% year over year. Demand for their logistics solutions has increased by 22.1%. Their monthly active users went up by 33.6%. Comments: With this entry below $10/share this is an executable trade for a smaller account and only needs to be checked on once or twice a day with a casual glance at the 4 hour char. To learn how to execute this trade with precision and how to size the trade accordingly, I highly recommend watching my free tutorial on how to trade this specific strategy.

Ugh, I wanted to try this in paper trading today, but it looks like Webull doesn't offer TPSL orders in paper. 🙄 Couldn't figure out how to #Ronco this trade.

I spent all weekend reading this book and can't recommend it enough for day traders. My biggest takeaway was around the sunk cost fallacy and continuing to invest in the hopes that a loss can be recovered. At one point in the book, she suggested that sticking to a trade would be the same as buying into the trade, and if you wouldn't buy into it at the given moment, then you shouldn't stick to it. She also hammered home the concept of kill criteria. Specific triggers that indicate your goals are unlikely to be met, making the decision to exit easier. I've found myself holding onto losers for far too long, and several concepts in this book really hit home. Some highlights are summarized in the link below, but IMHO the book is worth the time for a full read. https://admiredleadership.com/book-summaries/quit/

11/15/2024 [SMALL CAP SCALPING]: I finished green this week, but with a big RED day today that erased nearly half of the week's profit. I came in with strong resolve to be disciplined and patient today, and meditated on it last night. That lasted all but about 4 seconds after sitting down this morning. $BENF was making new highs, and just after it broke $3, I got in on a pullback, and it just kept going down. I did all the wrong things: different strategy, averaged down, held too long, revenge traded. I worked my way up slightly from $-17.32, but ran out of buying power, and missed some nice breakouts for market open this AM. Things just seemed extra choppy today in premarket, and that should have been a warning sign to take it easy and exercise patience. 📊Today's Stats Total Round Trip Trades: 9 Accuracy: 44% Profit Factor: 0.46 Average Profit Per Share Traded: -$0.047 Net Profit: -$14.12 $BENF: +$2.38, -$5.02, -$0.02, -$14.62 $IBG: -$0.04 $TCBP: +$6.36 $ASST: -$6.22, +$2.78 $WISA: +$0.23 📊This Week's Stats Total Round Trip Trades: 22 (Last Week: 17) Accuracy: 59% (Last Week: 59%) Profit Factor: 1.44 (Last Week: 1.52) Lesson: 1. Set personal max daily loss moving forward. Stop trading when realized. 2. Size down when things are choppy. 3. Need to keep the losses small - sometimes NOT trading is more profitable than trading.
Market Overview 11/11-11/15
The Markets: - SPY continue to get all time highs and continue the uptrend. The gap up after the election was a pretty strong move. Remember, the amount of time it takes for a gap to fill (or not) will give you a good indication of how strong the market it is. If this gap doesn't start to close by end of day Monday, I like the chances of continued upward momentum. Hard not to be bullish when you look at the chart. - QQQ finally hit the new all time high I was saying it wanted sooner rather than later. Chart looks like a similar story to SPY at the moment with a couple of gaps. Watch how price reacts to them over the next couple of days for a hint on how strong this move really is. Economic Data: - Bond markets are closed for Veteran's Day on Monday. Keep an eye on volume as you trade this holiday. - Lots of Fed Speakers this week so if you notice some random mid-day volatility that would most likely be the explanation. - Tuesday- Fed's Waller at 10am EST, Barkin at 10:15am - Wednesday - CPI in the premarket could provide some important price levels for the day to watch for potential support/resistance or trend days to set up. Fed's Williams at 9:30am, Logan at 9:45am, Musalem at 1pm, Schmid at 1:30pm. - Thursday - Jobs data and PPI in the premarket will provide the levels of the day to watch. Fed's Powell speaking an hour before close. I'll most likely try to be out of the market by then. - Friday - Fed's Williams at 1:15pm. Earnings Reactions to Watch: - Tuesday - PLUG, HTZ, MARA, RKT, RKLB - Wednesday - NU Sectors of Note: - XBI (Biotechs) on day 6 above the 5 SMA. A close above tomorrow makes day 7. - XLY (Consumer Discretionary Sector) on day 6 above the 5 SMA. A close above tomorrow makes day 7.

Out of curiosity, do you think we'll see some more strong moves if (when) Republicans officially take majority in the House, or do you think that's more or less baked into current market sentiment?
