I get this question a lot, "Hey Stephen, how can I add $X /month to my business". It's a fairly generic question -- so my answer is a little generic too: 1) Pick something you love to talk about and do it day to day 2) Then find a problem in that niche that people really suffer from 3) Then solve it a million different ways in daily and weekly content Now, realistically there are so many little details to work out right? but most of them can only be discovered through action. And honestly, if you just tried and pushed forward, all the details and problems would surface pretty quick and you could start to knock them down. One by one. But that unclear path prevents a lot of people from moving forward. That exact thing that keeps people from moving forward is always a little different for everyone. But it's that unknown they face that keeps them stuck. I've stumbled my way around quite a bit in the last few years, but I did keep pushing, on my own without anyone pushing me forward, fear kept me going. I hired a lot of people to help but honestly a lot of it was a waste money. 95% of my coaching investments didn't work out. My niche, the people I serve, my video quality, my products, my ability to articulate myself, my recording studio, my equipment, it all evolved through trial and error. I mean, checkout this ridiculous video (attached) that I posted to LinkedIn a few years back. I show this to prove a point. We evolve, you will evolve, so start now because you have to go through it one way or another. Sometimes I get this question, the one above... "Hey Stephen, how can I add $X /month to my business", from the same people, every year or so. And I start to think, dang, if this person had just actually started a year ago -- things would be so much different NOW. Where would they be? I'm not sure, but further along, I do know that. Yes, the path is not clear, but if you go forward now, in a year things will be so much different. Then a year after that, and so on. But if you don't the future will just look cloudy, ALWAYS.

Want to not only SURVIVE but also THRIVE with AI in your business? Here are two things to avoid and then finally how to succeed. First, the obvious one: Ignoring AI Completely. Many traditional business owners are guilty of this, thinking AI is just a fleeting trend. Or ignoring it all together because they don't want to contribute to the advancement of AI because they are afraid of it. Remember how the internet, websites, and social media were initially dismissed? I too have concerns about AI, but that doesn't mean I'm going to put my head in the sand. Don’t repeat this mistake and get left behind. The second mistake, less obvious: Over-relying on current AI Models and not looking forward to the next one. Building a business around today’s AI without adapting to new versions can spell disaster. Rapid advancements mean what works today might be obsolete tomorrow. As Sam Altman pointed out, the key is to eagerly embrace and swiftly transition to the latest models to avoid being outpaced. Those that build on current models and hope new models don't interrupt their service are going to get crushed. How to Succeed: Stay informed and adaptable. Embrace the "AI gap"—that crucial period where you can harness current AI technologies while preparing for future iterations. By continuously adapting, you ensure long-term success and resilience. 💡 Don’t resist the future. Embrace AI and evolve with it! BTW I used the linked video to produce this post, check it out. Hey Guys! Thanks so much for being part of the group. It feels like a nice vibe is developing between everyone which is awesome to see! People are asking questions, getting help, supporting others, super cool! We've also brought on a new moderator @Rob Ruscher helping with video, he'll be making some posts and running a couple workshops soon. (btw I'm looking for more people that would like to contribute as a moderator and be an expert for the group. Best way to start is just to be present here and getting to know everyone) Community building is certainly never something I thought I could do. Frankly I never thought I'd ever get on video either. I thrive alone building things 😁 so this has been a fun learning experience me. I like to build stuff, solve problems, and sell the solutions. But most of all I like to build stuff and solve problems. I could leave off the selling but my family wants to live, so, yea there's that... = ) When I'm excited about something selling is easy because I'm truly excited for the people I sell it too. I believe it's a good thing for them, that makes it easy. But when I'm less excited, I sell less, and I make less money because of it. It's good to be aware of this, because if you can build selling into your routine—you'll sell more. Building a consistent business means you're getting consistent sales. When you notice that you have waves of high and low months. It's usually the result of ups and downs in your selling 2-3 months before. It's just one of those realities that you need to accept, if you do your business will do better. Be consistent in your selling in the highs and the lows, and then your profits will be more consistent overtime. Because if you start selling now, it won't bear fruit for a few months. Do you have a few months? Do you have the mindset to keep going up and down with your business? If the answer is no to either of those two questions. Sell, ALL THE TIME.
