Hollywood Writers On Strike
A general question for the folks in here. What are your thoughts on the demand from the writers guild to dumb down AI with regards to creative writing? Personally it just don’t make sense as we’re no longer living in a bubble that doesn’t evolve. Adaptability is what differentiates, yes?

IMO, there may be a scenario where the studios may use AI to create scripts with story structures and arcs not directly attributable to any individual writers. Dialog could be created with AI guide-rails like "ChatGPT, Spock wouldn't say anything here. He would more likely stay quiet and raise an eyebrow", for instance. Look at Khan Academy, Duolingo, and others using guide-rails. Guide-rails give an AI boundaries to observe and rules to follow which can allow an AI to mimic intuitive choices that humans make in a focused setting. [I'm talking to a kid > Use simpler vocabulary OR This is about math > Ignore relationship advice, etc...] I think it's a tough spot for writers and I hope the strike works in their favor, but I don't have a good feeling about it because of the timing of the strike. I feel they should have done it during the pandemic when their unique talents were far more valuable and people were trapped at home with fewer distractions to help pass the time.

@Chris Chenault That was a good article. Amazing how there is so much fear at what I still consider to be technology's infancy. We aren't anywhere near where we should be given the amount of capital that goes into tech every year.
ChatGPT Widget appeared on websites I visited
When I Clicked the Button is directed me to chatgpt and summarized the page. I can't figure out how I was able to make it happen and I can't do it again. Does anyone have any insight?

Chrome extensions like Merlin do this, but it's usually pretty obvious when you're using it, in my experience. Definitely sounds like an extension tho
Reality Keyword Difficulty with ChatGPT
Im not sure what type of prompt to use for low keyword difficulty for a particular topic. While Chat GPT will give keywords, how do I know how low they rank without a website such as Ahrefs or Semrush. Any free ways to search keyword difficulty once ChatGPT gives you a list?

@Tom Brown I wonder if you force it to cite sources if it would be more useful

@Tom Brown Pretty awesome! Tho, I think with plugin access some of these hallucination problems will be greatly reduced. Applied recently. I can't wait to gain access to Wolfram Alpha in particular...
Adopt Any Writing Tone
Found this interesting and simple prompt on Twitter from @MakadiaHarsh: https://twitter.com/MakadiaHarsh/status/1647600507077427200?s=20 Very helpful as I have to write for social media, give Discord bots personalities, and do company emails. The full thread has other great prompts as well.
