Hello, my name is Ly, I am 53 yo, wife for 23 plus years, and proud mom to a son who got married this year and a daughter who is about to graduate from college. I live in Reno, Nevada, USA. I was a stay-at-home mom for twenty years and returned to the workforce because I over invested in myself (major shiny-object-sydrome) and did not get good enough at sales to recover that investment of over $100k. I look forward to leaving the job by April 2025 and returning to my calling as a keynote speaker. Knowing that I want to lead by example, I am re-engaging with my high-performance habits to take care of my physical, mental, spiritual, and financial health. I am excited to be here to learn from all of you and share my insights. I'll bring the joy and positivity with the intent to encourage you bringing out the best in you!
It can be done!
Just posting here for years I mean years literally a few decades of my life I have been overweight and this summer after years of either staying the same and/or gaining weight I finally turned the corner. I peaked at 258 pounds in August but then started out diligently working out twice a week 45 minutes and walking a couple of miles at least a week in addition to swimming and yoga and now as 2025 comes in I am down to 239! I’m also drinking 8 cups of water daily which helps tremendously As well! I’m hoping to be done to 234 by new years which is highly likely at this stage! I think the situation and personal circumstances have to be in the right place as well as one’s mental mindset and also a strong support network needs to be in place. I am fortunate that I have that! All of that! And of course success begets success so I am hoping and thinking that the trend will continue. So just to summarize it CAN be done but some things have to be done”there” before it comes to fruition!

Choose Your Hard🔥
Hey Goal Achievers 💪, Let’s have a real talk: life will always have its challenges. But here’s the power you hold - you get to choose your hard. 💡 Being overweight is hard - feeling sluggish, struggling with energy, and carrying that emotional weight. 💡 But being healthy is hard too - showing up for workouts, prepping meals, and staying consistent. ❤️ Being single is hard - feeling lonely and longing for connection. ❤️ But being in a relationship is hard too - learning to compromise, grow together, and communicate. 🚀 Having a dream but never pursuing it is hard - regret weighs on your soul. 🚀 But chasing your dream is hard too - stepping out of your comfort zone and taking risks takes courage. ✨ The question isn’t whether life will be hard - it’s which hard will you choose? The good news? You don’t have to do it alone. 💛 You’ve got this group cheering you on every step of the way. Together, we’ll tackle the hard that leads to growth, joy, and the life you’ve been dreaming of. 💬 Let’s start the conversation: What “hard” are you choosing today? Drop it in the comments below - I can’t wait to hear how you’re showing up for yourself!

Today's hard is getting through the discomfort of the learning curve to edit a raw video I am putting together for my digital marketing. If I don't put myself out there, I'm making it harder for people to know I exist. I am choosing the hard discomfort while knowing it will get better and easier as I learn the software!

Proven Strategies for Achieving Your Goals
Achieving goals isn’t just about setting them—it’s about using effective strategies to stay on track and overcome obstacles. Whether you’re working on personal, professional, or fitness goals, the right approach can make all the difference. Let’s explore some proven strategies to help you turn your ambitions into reality. Why Goals Matter Goals provide focus and direction, acting as a roadmap for your journey. When you set clear, actionable goals, you create a sense of purpose that keeps you motivated and resilient. However, success doesn’t happen by chance—it requires intention, planning, and execution. Strategies for Goal Achievement 1. Start with SMART Goals The SMART framework ensures your goals are: Specific – Clearly define what you want to achieve. Measurable – Establish criteria to track progress. Achievable – Set goals that challenge you but remain realistic. Relevant – Align goals with your values and priorities. Time-Bound – Set a deadline to create urgency. For example, instead of saying, “I want to get healthier,” set a SMART goal like, “I will exercise for 30 minutes, five days a week, for the next three months.” 2. Break Goals into Smaller Steps Big goals can feel overwhelming. Breaking them into smaller, actionable steps makes them more manageable and keeps you motivated as you achieve each milestone. For instance, if your goal is to write a book, start with an outline, then commit to writing one chapter a week. Each small win builds momentum. 3. Prioritize Your Goals Not all goals are created equal. Identify which goals are most important and focus your energy there. Use tools like Eisenhower’s Matrix to determine which tasks are urgent and important, helping you stay productive and focused. 4. Create an Action Plan An action plan outlines the specific steps you’ll take to achieve your goal. Include timelines, resources, and potential obstacles so you’re prepared for challenges. A detailed plan keeps you organized and accountable. 5. Stay Accountable

Proven Strategies for Achieving Your Goals

I learned how to counter my self-sabotaging behaviors with a single mantra: Become aware and follow through. If I get distracted while working on an action step toward my goals, I "become aware and follow through"...with the best next appropriate step to get me back on track and moving forward. This has saved me many times from hours, weeks, and months of delay!!
