30x5x30 CHALLENGE
Good afternoon everyone! On this morning's coaching call I issued out a challenge and I wanted to give our community more clarity and details on what it entails and how you guys can join us as well! Here's what each number represents: 30 = how many days in a row we must complete the daily tasks 5 = how many tasks must be completed (they represent the 5 pillars) 30 = how many minutes each task will require for completion Here are the 5 tasks: 1. Faith- 30 Minutes of COMMUNION with God (can be prayer, meditation, church, or bible study) 2. Family- 30 minutes of CONNECTION with others (can be family or friends) 3. Finance- 30 minutes of EXECUTION towards a specific skill (can be in business or other form but it must be something that can generate future income) 4. Fitness- 30 minutes of EXERCISE (can be walking, running, lifting weights but make sure to break a sweat and push yourself) 5. Self Improvement- 30 Minutes of DEVELOPMENT (Can be reading, meditation, journaling, etc. it just needs to help you improve your mindset Rules: - You must complete each task before going to sleep - If you miss or cheat on any of the tasks you must restart from day 1 - Each task is scalable to where you're at in your journey but must be completed for 30 minutes nonetheless - All tasks must be intentional - you know if you are or aren't being intentional Closing thoughts: - We will begin this on DECEMBER 1ST - I would like for each person who is willing to participate to like & comment so we can know who'd like to be a part of this journey - Let's update our progress and give feedback to make sure we encourage & hold each other accountable for the next several weeks - If you fail or cheat DONT WORRY, just restart how many times you need until the job gets done I'm grateful to be a part of this with y'all and I can't wait to see how many of us grow and develop by the end of the year

It's Separation Season
As we head into the holidays at the end of the year, you will do one of 2 things when it comes to your goals: 1. Compromise (99% of people) Here's how people do this: - You will let your foot off the gas on something you've been working toward: These are the people who will say to themselves "well I've worked hard this year, I've earned (fill in compromise here)" - You will justify by claiming that the amount of compromise won't affect you: These are the types of people who will say "it's just one day" or "it's just one piece" - You will make excuses as to why you cannot or will not change: These are the people who will say "I would've done ____ if it weren't for ____" or "well I cant do ____ because of (fill in excuse here)" - You wont even try to make any effort to change because you think the year is lost so it's no use trying: These are the people to will say to themselves, "This wasn't my year, but for sure next year will be" or "I'll just start the new year off strong, new year new me" Let me ask you: How has that way of thinking worked for you in the past? I'm not trying to make you feel guilty or shameful because I've been there many times. As a matter of fact there are seasons where you can and should enjoy some rest. However, if you're the type of person that has yet to bear good fruit, stay consistent, or completed a goal you set out to achieve then I'm talking to you. What I want to do is teach you to live a life that does not compromise & instead stays consistent with the person God has called you to be. 2. Commit/ Re-Commit (1% of people) Here's how you do this: - Give yourself grace & forgive yourself for falling short and compromising in the past - Begin planning the new year NOW (not a week before new years, but a month before) - Clearly define who you want to become & what they do/don't do - Create 5 Goals (one for each pillar of faith, family, finance, fitness, and self improvement) that you want to attain by this time next year & make sure they're (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, and Relevant) - Allow your thoughts, actions, habits, and behaviors to begin aligning with the goals & type of person you want to be - Setup boundaries & expectations for yourself before the temptations (family, friends, food, and feelings) come - Understand that failure is a part of the process, so if and when you fail (compromise) recommit and keep going

@Kindred Williams thank you Red for being the type of person who executes on the information! That’s what makes all the effort put into it worthwhile! 🙌🏽

@Isai Polanco you’re absolutely right most don’t know what they want. In fact, most are very clear about what they DONT want! Heres the good news in that though… since there are no such thing as one sided anything that means there are always two sides to anything you look at. So imagine looking at a stick and on one side it what you DONT want and it’s very clear, then all you have to do is look on the other side of that same stick and see what you DO want. For example: <—————————————————————> DONT WANT DO WANT - Fear. - Faith - Anxiety. - Confidence - Scarcity - Abundance All we need to do to know what we want is look at the other side of the stick. So, think about how you’re clear on what you’re NOT doing or HAVENT done.. well the great news is, all you have to do is look at the opposite side of that stick and you have your answer! Ask yourself, what would the average & mediocre person do in this situation & do the opposite! Or ask yourself what kind of thoughts, actions, habits, and behaviors do the people succeeding with this have & model after them! You got this brother 🙌🏽

@Isai Polanco I think that it’s sometime the mediums in which wisdom is delivered that make it feel or seem complex. For example, I was reading some commentary earlier today that was from a time where old English was popular and it began to confuse me. It wasn’t necessarily the information itself that was complex, it was the language and way in which it was communicated. So, I believe firstly that wisdom is available to EVERYONE. Proverbs 1 tells us that wisdom is in the public square shouting which means she’s not hiding or cryptic she’s open and ready to welcome anyone who embraces her. So, it begins with the person who’s looking for wisdom. They can be looking but miss her because she doesn’t look the way they expected, so we must be open and receptive to God’s wisdom no matter which way it comes. Secondly, I believe it’s up to us as leaders to develop our ability to articulate and communicate the wisdom we acquire so that when we share it, it can be understood much better. I think what happens is that because there are so many people who want to be quick to share what they learn they don’t stop to think about the way they deliver the message so it can be diluted or confusing and that’s what leads to a feeling of complexity to simple ideas. Lastly, I believe that true wisdom is applied truth so the less we walk out the things we “know” the less confident we feel about the wisdom God has revealed to us. This build a layer of uncertainty towards truth so when more truth (whether biblical or not) is revealed and not acted upon it makes us feel like there are just too many “truths” and not enough evidence to prove whether or not they work. This I believe leads to an inevitable feeling of complexity & paralysis by analysis. However, the solution is simple. Take it one step at a time and walk out each truth that’s revealed to you. As someone does that they’ll begin to build experiences based on evidence that are rooted in biblical truth which is the essence of wisdom.
Baptized
I'm a few days late but I wanted to share with my Set Apart Nation Fam that this past Sunday 11/17, I made the decision to give my life to Christ and get baptized. I wanna thank my amazing friends and leaders Lupe and Bella for taking a chance on me. You guys have changed not just my life but my family's as well, I love y'all!

I appreciate this Red! Thank you for your "yes". We wouldn't be able to call ourselves leaders if it weren't for people like you who are coachable and willing to do the work necessary!
