Planning the 3 weeks of detox
I’ve decided I want to really plan my meals and detox elements so I’ve got a clear structure to reference. My idea was to do one week of kitchari and veg cooked with ghee in a reduced eating window (prob 10-5) and to move into liquid foods only in the second week (juices, green smoothies, broths and living soups). I’m also thinking FMD (500 cals a day) might work in that middle week. If I can manage it I’d also like to do one day of water fasting. Then ease out by reversing the ease-in menu. Any suggestions @Brenda Green to enhance this process? We are going into autumn here in Australia and my digestion hasn’t been great lately (I tend towards vata imbalances) so I want to keep to light warming foods that are easy on my system, but I was also considering adding a herbal cleanse gut tonic from my naturopath. Or might there be good herbs or Ayurvedic resources (eg triphala) I could add? Any suggestions welcome thank you.
