Beginner drills “workout” guide?
So, I have a problem with needing a very structured guide when it comes to anything exercise-related so that I could easily follow along & have something to base my progress off of. Does anybody have a drill plan or program that you have followed early on in your skate experience that has helped your progress (similar to a fitness program with sets/reps)? OR is there anybody who is experienced here that can create a quick & quality drill plan with sets/reps for beginners like me to follow? E.g. Which drills in which order, whether it should be done off skates or on skates, how many sets & reps/amount of time I should work on each drill before moving onto the next for each practice day? Thank you so much in advance for your guys’ help!!🤍

@Jeff Goggin haha same. I have so many skate videos saved & have no idea where to begin. As of the past couple of days, I just practice balance off-skates eyes open aiming for a full minute & then eyes closed aiming for a minute & will try to go for 5 sec longer each time. Also, working on getting more reps with pistol squats all while watching my shows at home lol. I figured I at least be proactive while I’m watching tv anyway & that’ll help get my balance right at least
Roller Jam!!
Shout out to our mentor @Knejie Allen for taking on the stage with the Sk8 Shot team!! Hope everyone tuned in!!

Share how much you love this group!
We have grown so much since the beginning of this group, and I feel like the energy here is unmatched in the skate world, so thank you all! But this is just my opinion. I want to hear what you guys think. So, if you feel you have gotten anything useful from being here, please don't be afraid to share. I would love to hear: 1. What is your favorite part about this group? 2. What is the biggest problem this group has solved for you in your skate journey?

My favorite part about this group is that it is such an amazinggg, supportive community! As a beginner here, everyone is so welcoming & looking to help. The interactions keeps this group alive! As far as the biggest problem it has solved for me, is giving me a safe space to ask questions & get direct answers from people with more experience than me which leaves me with more confidence on the things I need to focus on instead of feeling lost, not knowing the next steps/what to move forward with. Thank you for creating such a safe space for skaters of all levels!
Thoughts on butt pads?
I know we all have to practice our falls to get better. But has anybody here ever had a traumatic experience falling on your tailbone or is it not as bad as I think it is? Haha I’ve hurt my tailbone where it hurts to sit for long periods of time & then getting up from that position, but that’s the worst it has gotten so far which is pretty tolerable. I’m just scared it could be worse. I am pretty short in height so practicing falls hasn’t been easy & I feeeeel like my height plays a factor but I dk. I’ve been wearing a booty pad when I practice in private. Does anybody else do this, or has falling on your butt while practicing falls hasn’t been thattt bad?

@Daniel Funderbirk do you feel that feeling your edges on foot can translate to feeling your edges on skates pretty well while you’re focusing on one foot balance?
