Hey guys well I've tried no carbs, low carbs, no fat no sugar worked for awhile but the cravings drove me straight back lol. Tried the gym, hydrotherapy classes, walking ( which I still do), even tried Jenny Craig once upon a time but because we lived 40mins from town and I often finished work late meetings were sporadic and it got a little expensive after awhile. Tried shakes but missed the feeling of eating real food. Even tried a few of the gimmicky things like weight loss jewelry, herbal tablets and drinks and was a total waste of time and money 🥴. Even had a nutritionist at one point but all the calorie counting and restrictions became a bit overwhelming so didn't last. With most of the different methods I lost some weight but it slowly crept back on as I slipped into old habits again. I've been fortunate that because I was farming when I was younger all the physical activity meant I was able to maintain my weight albeit probably a little heavier than ideal but I was fit and healthy. Unfortunately once I went through menopause it was a whole new ball game and the weight I usually shed at calving time didn't disappear then 3 yrs ago I was involved in a serious accident and life changed pretty dramatically. I've spent the last 3yrs coping with chronic pain and depression at times which has limited my activeness and the weight has piled on. I'm ready for change which I guess has in the past been one of my biggest roadblocks. So anyway novel over lol.

Wow, this took me a little while to process, I sat in tears overwhelmed by your story and all you have endured throughout your life. I commend you on your resilience and your passion to make a impact on others, by turning something that was devastating into something so beautiful and positive. We are all truely blessed to have crossed paths with you. ❤️
Am I looking in a mirror 🤔
I've seen many of these videos on TikTok and just watched them again on here. I can keep watching them over and over because I honestly resonate with every single persons stories and past journeys that are in these videos 💯. Its like im watching myself in the mirror with my experiences I've tried and I'm hoping this is something I can do to make the changes I've been trying to make for so long. 😊

I totally agree with you, I don't normally do tiktok but one day I stumbled across one of these videos and watched all that was available and have several times since 😁. There are so many parallels for me with all of their stories so I'm more than ready to make this positive life change 😁

Hi I'm Leah, I am 54 and I worked for many years farming until I was in an accident at the end of 2020 and have had a long recovery journey since. I now live on Whangarei. • I joined the Weightloss academy because I need to lose weight and keep it off and I want to learn to do it in a healthy way. • By the end of the program I want to lose the weight, be healthier, happier with myself, be more mobile and in less pain daily. • My biggest motivation is my family. I want to be more active and able participate more in their activities and lives, especially my moko babies. • My biggest roadblock is me. I have poor discipline and many years of bad eating habits. Also the tendency to stress eat and at times mild depression have added extra kilos also. • Things I like to do are baking for family, knitting , anything creative really, reading, spending time in nature, gardening, and most importantly spending time with my family.
