Chores/responsibilities
I don’t give my 5 year old daughter a lot of chores. But her main responsibility is doing her laundry. I assist her with all the steps involved in doing laundry. But she absolutely refuses to fold her clothes. Is 5 too young for her to be learning to fold her clothes? I have always thought that kids shouldn’t start laundry until about 8 or so but I was influenced by another to have her start. She always complains about how I’m always folding clothes and I always respond with, “would you like to help? That way it won’t take me as long?”

Hi Harmony, this is a great question! So cool that you are getting her involved. Did you listen to the “get buy in” workshop at all?

@Harmony Clevinger Yes! so good. This is about playing the long game or short game with your kids. Letting go right now would be the long game. To allow them buy in they need to feel and be free. We would love for you to jump on a workshop on friday and we can help you!
Happy Friday! Enjoy this replay in place of our weekly workshop - stay tuned for next Friday’s topic!
This workshop was FIRE. We dove into the surprising FIRST step to CHANGING any relationship from the path to disconnection and destruction to move it to a path toward freedom, joy, generosity and purpose. You can become the SAFE PERSON for anyone in your life - YOU get to GROW - and that will have a ripple effect that will shock you - THEY WILL GROW TOO... even if right now there is stonewalling gaslighting distance harassment blame attitude or any other craziness going on. This is mind blowing to me, every time. We are women applying God's principles for relationship and leadership to everyday interactions to WATCH HIM MOVE.... He is ready and waiting. Are you? LET'S GO! ENJOY!!!

Southern morals
Hey, y’all! I’m new to the group and I have a question, I grew up and live in the south. Yes ma’am, yes sir etc. have always been big. I am raising my kids to speak with the respectful mannerisms that I was taught. Is this wrong of me, to expect it from them? They don't get in trouble when they don’t use their manners, I just, kindly, correct them. And they follow suit and use their manners.

Hi Harmony! I’m so glad you are here! This is a great question! We love to allow our kids to have free will choice and guide them in that process. Such good stuff!
Live Coaching Calls
I wanted to share some feedback and input from the call. It was insightful to hear growth in the husband and wife relationship through all of this heart work. It gives me hope and courage for the future ahead. Also, I enjoyed hearing of the progression from aggravated mom/children relationship to compassionate and boundary-filled motherhood. I know the Lord is working mightily and I can see the tide begin to change in my heart even though it is not as apparent in my actions, yet. 😀 Also Kayla, thank you for your raw stance in the thick of this journey. You can see God is moving! Even when it feels like He may not be showing up, is usually when His hand is felt not always seen. Thank you ladies for the journey thus far. The Lord has been stirring my heart in this community for months, showing me some of the same things repeatedly and I can now see that I’m ready for the next step. The step of intentionality, the step of not being offended, the step of putting in boundaries so I don’t have to live in shame and condemnation. Baby steps, He keeps telling me. I am choosing to trust and obey. 💖💖🙏🏻🙏🏻
