Can’t wait to watch this!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Chores/responsibilities
I don’t give my 5 year old daughter a lot of chores. But her main responsibility is doing her laundry. I assist her with all the steps involved in doing laundry. But she absolutely refuses to fold her clothes. Is 5 too young for her to be learning to fold her clothes? I have always thought that kids shouldn’t start laundry until about 8 or so but I was influenced by another to have her start. She always complains about how I’m always folding clothes and I always respond with, “would you like to help? That way it won’t take me as long?”

My 6 year old has been folding clothes since he was 5. He doesn’t love to do it and often needs encouragement and becomes distracted easily, but I remind him of his choices when he chooses not to do it. I also set a timer sometimes to help. I did assist him at first for a while to show him how to get started and fold properly. He’s pretty good at it now and is currently folding as we speak. 😊

That’s probably a @Katie Johnson question!! Hahaha 🤣 But the fact that he has an older sibling helps. She models what it looks like and she gets rewarded with what’s next in our day. He “chooses” to lose something fun planned for the day and/or sugar.

-Learning that what I “thought” (my mental processes and beliefs aren’t actually the truth) -Learning there is literally another way to view, respond, believe, and accept what my reality is not the lies I’ve made it to be in my mind. -Learning through perfect strangers how we are all human and there is grace and beauty in all of it. #thankfulforyouladies 🩷 -Learning to challenge myself and stop sticking with my “norm” I’ve got so many more, but I’ll end with those. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Happy Friday! Enjoy this replay in place of our weekly workshop - stay tuned for next Friday’s topic!
This workshop was FIRE. We dove into the surprising FIRST step to CHANGING any relationship from the path to disconnection and destruction to move it to a path toward freedom, joy, generosity and purpose. You can become the SAFE PERSON for anyone in your life - YOU get to GROW - and that will have a ripple effect that will shock you - THEY WILL GROW TOO... even if right now there is stonewalling gaslighting distance harassment blame attitude or any other craziness going on. This is mind blowing to me, every time. We are women applying God's principles for relationship and leadership to everyday interactions to WATCH HIM MOVE.... He is ready and waiting. Are you? LET'S GO! ENJOY!!!

Great workshop! Thank you! Need the reminder of what’s my responsibility and what’s not-often. And that that’s ok when it’s not mine. The world won’t end. Everyone won’t be forever damaged because I didn’t jump in to “save them.” (I.E. in my case, make things worse 🫣😆) Learning these truths so I can pull them out of my arsenal when things start feeling sticky is a true blessing. Much needed! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🩷
