Tesla stock today.
Interesting surge in Tesla. https://www.tradingview.com/ Look at the day candles, with bollinger bands and volume added. Ticker is TSLA From what I have learned so far, its indicating massively over bought situation. The volume on the day chart is very high but not as high as previous days. Its also approaching 264 which was a previous high last December. It seems to me like a great learning opportunity just to observe what the market does today as it hits the 264 resistance line. Do you think a BUY at 266 on your paper trading account would be a good call?

90% Fail rate
As I continue studying, it can be hard to remain focused when so many other forums online are so negative highlighting such a huge failure rate for beginners starting there journey. I’m pretty sure of a few things however, like the failure rate from day 1 is probably very high, yet the failure rate for people that have put the work in like Tyler has stated for a couple of years will be lower for sure. And that I’m a very dedicated individual that doesn't quit easily. But I guess the question is, does anybody else ever have ‘off’ days and fear that they could dedicate years to studying and paper shares, only to find out that they may never make it due to how hard a lot of people claim it is?

I was listening to a podcast last week, basically telling everyone interested in trading to quit, while the person being interviewed was making a fortune. So many mixed messages. My take on this is to keep your day job. It pays wages, pension, health and tax. (if you are lucky) Trade on the side on your day off while at the same time: Build slow Don't use money you cant afford to lose. Don't go into the market without knowing exactly how it all works. As for becoming a professional day trader as a main income. I believe it may take more than 2 years. Probably 4 or 5. Put to put things in perspective . It takes a trades like a carpenter, 5 years to to be considered a pro and not an apprentice. Same with a doctor , teacher and so on. And they are training 8 hours a day. I personally find the whole day trading environment fun and interesting. That's what is driving me to learn a few things about it.
Trend Line Practice.
I have been practicing trend lines after listening to the podcast and doing a bit of reading , and its quite clear the market does indeed follow them. This chart shows a clear upward trend on MARA. Timing is day candles . Im going to try a trade on the paper account buying at 19.65 and selling at 26 in ten days or so. What do you guys and gals think? What other confirmation would you seek? There is a bit of chatter about mara online recently, which could be fuelling the trend. . It deals with crypto mining , although the company is on the stock market. Could fall flat on its face as well. But it is volatile at the moment. Do you guys have any other examples or ideas of stock to practice on? Here is the chart https://www.tradingview.com/chart/EIvxwFtM/?symbol=NASDAQ%3ATSLA

Trend Line Practice.
This week's content (May 27th) Technical Indicators
This week's module about technical indicators is live. You can access the module here. This module is quite long, and in the future the modules will be shorter and will just cover 1 indicator. This module covers 3 and also discusses the basics of what an indicator is. I have added a useful article to the resource section of the Technical Analysis course as well. Here is a snippet from the module: "Technical analysis itself is the study of price action, primarily through the use of charts, for the purpose of forecasting future price trends. Technical indicators and oscillators are integral to this practice. They provide graphical representations and mathematical calculations of market dynamics that are not readily apparent just by looking at a price chart. By using technical indicators and oscillators, traders can see patterns and signals that help them understand market movements in a way that raw data alone cannot provide."

So here is one for you. Was there a sell signal here today? You would have been too late waiting for the macd lines to intersect . Yet everyone sold? How did they know? Was limit stops set up there? if so, why? link to trading view below. NET 66.71 ▼ −1.87% Unnamed (tradingview.com)

My thoughts are quite uneducated on the subject, but I did read in the 'Study Guide to Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets' book, that when a stock trades sideways for a time, with low volume, it can mean a downward trade may follow. I cant see the trigger though. Maybe we could have a section here where we can case study individual scenarios like this, looking into the future. Hopefully professional day traders can chip in and tell us what they see. I have tons of questions..
