Struggling with Poche? Here’s Your 5-Minute Fix!
This week, I dove into a great question from one of our community members @Phil Vanderloo about using the fill feature in Morpholio Trace to fill (poche) 🪣 a wall. Here are the key takeaways: 1. Check your layers: If you’re stuck, you might have accidentally activated a single layer. 2. Seal it up: Make sure the area you’re trying to fill is fully enclosed—no sneaky gaps! 3. Adjust the fill tolerance: Tweak it for that perfect fill. 4. Lower the paper opacity: Turn the poche layer’s opacity down to zero for this to work 5. Mind your layers: If no layer is active, you’ll be drawing on the top one by default. That’s it! Henry

Also really simple to do a single line poché with a (relatively) fat pen set to partial transparency- I use a separate layer over wall lines then move the layer under.
M-Trace : Printing To Scale?
I get how to calibrate and draw to scale, but because Trace/Layers are sized to the view at time of creation they are all diff sizes I assume printing View or Layer is in proportion but not to a specific scale. How can I get a 1/8” (etc) print / PDF? Thanks _karl

I looked it up : one needs to select export from layers (the overlapping rectangle option) to get sheet and scale ooptions

Hey there, it's Henry Gao! 👋 I'm based in the Bay Area, California, hanging out with my lovely family - two kiddos and our golden retriever boy. Though I did the whole architecture school thing in both Canada and the U.S. (yeah, twice!), I discovered that teaching is my true calling in life. Drawing has always been a passion of mine, and now, I've seamlessly transitioned from pen and paper to the wonders of the iPad. When I'm not busy shaping young and old minds, you can find me hitting the trails for a run, exploring nature on hikes, or catching up with our church family. My goal here is to ignite your interest in the iPad scene. But I'm not just about design and drawing! If you've got any burning questions or just want to chat about life beyond architecture, shoot me a message. I'm all ears and ready to share whatever wisdom I can offer. ✨

HI, I’m Karl, also an architect in the Bay Area. I learned drafting by hand - as a structural engineer - then by ACAD, then by BIM (both ArchiCAD & REVIT). Now I want to go back to the smooth brain-to-paper connection of a pencil.
