@Jeffrey Smith My apologies Jeffrey, you have access now. It should have been automatically unlocked for you when you enrolled into the cohort program.

@Jeffrey Smith no worries, let me show you how this works in this video: https://www.loom.com/share/3a069440e9ec42468b25caa760d066d3?sid=b11eb08c-0b32-422d-ba09-ac580dc290b5
How much storage do I need?
Hello everyone. I am contemplating buying a new iPad and am wondering what your experience, or recommendations are for on-board storage. My current iPad is older and only has 128gb of space and I only used about 75gb - most of my files are on iCloud. However, Iā€™m wondering if there are workflow, or other advantages to keeping more files on my iPad. So is it worth it to go for a higher capacity, or is cheaping-out still a good way to go?

Hey @Mike DeBonis I recently upgraded to the 13-inch iPad Air with 128GB of storage because Iā€™ve had the same amount since 2017, and itā€™s almost as full as your 75GB iPad. I donā€™t anticipate needing more storage in the next five years because I primarily use the iPad for drawing and not much else. However, if youā€™re keeping personal photos, doing photo or video editing, or similar tasks, I would imagine that youā€™ll need more than 128GB of storage. As seen in the attached screenshot, Procreate takes the most space.

@Mike DeBonis drawing sets aren't as big as you think they are. Procreate is the culprits here and honestly I need to do a bit of purging myself as I have not deleted files in years.
Introduce yourself and share a photo of your workspace
Hey there, it's Henry Gao! šŸ‘‹ I'm based in the Bay Area, California, hanging out with my lovely family - two kiddos and our golden retriever boy. Though I did the whole architecture school thing in both Canada and the U.S. (yeah, twice!), I discovered that teaching is my true calling in life. Drawing has always been a passion of mine, and now, I've seamlessly transitioned from pen and paper to the wonders of the iPad. When I'm not busy shaping young and old minds, you can find me hitting the trails for a run, exploring nature on hikes, or catching up with our church family. My goal here is to ignite your interest in the iPad scene. But I'm not just about design and drawing! If you've got any burning questions or just want to chat about life beyond architecture, shoot me a message. I'm all ears and ready to share whatever wisdom I can offer. āœØ

@Alessia Dal Bo' Sounds like a lovely place in Belgium and I had good memories there. Hope to visit with family in the future. Good luck with your own adventures!
07Sketches (Bhupeshkumar)
Hi everyone, Iā€™m Bhupeshkumar, the founder of 07Sketches from India. Iā€™m an architect and full-time content creator, sharing short videos on architecture and interior design tips. I met Henry after the iPad for Architects and Designers Summit, and weā€™ve stayed in touch since then. Weā€™ve exchanged many tips, and Iā€™ve learned a lot from him about iPad usage, sketching, content creation, business strategies, and email marketing. Iā€™ve published two eBooks on architecture and design, and I love using Morpholio Trace for architectural drawings and Concepts app for creating content. Both are fantastic tools. Excited to be part of this community!

@Bhupeshkumar Malviya Most people here use Procreate and Trace. Iā€™d love to know your top reasons for using Concept instead and why someone might be interested in it.

@Bhupeshkumar Malviya yep itā€™s pretty hard to beat the infinite canvas and I think itā€™s one of their top selling features. It might be a good idea to see how you use it if someday you recorded one of your drawing sessions.
A Mountain Perspective
Greetings everyone, hereā€™s a new perspective image Iā€™ve been working on. Iā€™m liking the style that this image has, developed from my previous set. I struggled with the placement of entourage quite a bit, so let me know if you see anything I could improve!

I help architects and designers transition from traditional hand drawing to digital sketching on the iPad.
