Feedback Friday 18 Oct AEST Thread
Let's get hyped for our Feedback Friday which is me giving feedback to our community's posts live on stream! TO GET FEEDBACK: - If you don’t have a video you can ask a question in your comment. - Post a link to your video in a comment on this thread - If you don't know to share a video CLICK THIS LINK (You upload your video as unlisted video on youtube and share the link) - In your comment please state what area of help you're after, the more specific the better. - Do not make your videos longer than 2 mins. - Do not explain in your video I'll skip it and go straight to the playing. - I will watch videos by levels starting from highest to lowest: All level 4 students first, all level 3, etc. - To gain levels engage in the community with posts and comments, every like on your comments/posts gets you a point and points get you levels, it's a video game. - Refrain from offering feedback to others, only show support and encouragement. There is a chance this will get postponed to Saturday since I am quite sick but I’ll do my best to show up with 10/10 vibes ;)

Day 3
Just doing some improv today since I had 4 hours of homework 😂. I tried to use different techniques I normally don't use, that I need to, like bending. Also tried using a unique tone

Day 3
What are some weird quirks you noticed while learning guitar?
So... I just realized that I can play barre chords just fine, but for some reason Bm is just not working for me. Yet I have heard that Bm should be one of the easier ones to learn. Also... I find 6/8 time so much easier to play than 4/4. Not sure if that is a common thing or if I am just more of 6/8th type of guy. What are some things that turned out to be easier / different from the norm for you when you learned to play the guitar?

@Tom Malek yeah, I totally get that man, coming from a drumming background myself. As for me, I thought that playing lead lines would be harder than playing chords, but I actually find it easier, or maybe I just prefer it more, to play lead lines.
What’s everyone playing? Share your rig!
I'm curious to know what everyone’s rig looks like. What guitar(s), amp and/or pedals are you using? I’ve always found it fun to dial in my sound over the years. Keen to hear what you’ve all got :)

So, I actually have 3 different rigs; one for home practice, one for church services, and one for youth church services that we do in a separate room, and the songs are different styles sorta. So for my home rig, my go to guitar is my PRS SE 245 which have two PRS humbuckers, and I’m plugged into a Line 6 Spyder MK 2, which is a 120 watt. For my main church rig, I’ll switch between a 24 Custom PRS and a Fender Strat Deluxe, and there I’m plugging in to a Kemper Profiler, which we run through a direct box to our PA system. For the youth room, I’ll use either of the other guitars above, recently the Strat more, since newer worship songs have a thinner tone that the single coils crush on, and we have a 68 Deluxe Reverb that came out on the rerelease or whatever. We use to have a Mesa Boogie, but I prefer the Deluxe currently.
Taylor Swift Practice
finally getting back into regular practice. trying the less is more approach. does anyone else feel its both easy and hard to play when you've had time away? 😂 https://youtu.be/zIiZxRknVnk
