Is working eight hours 5 days a week sufficient for this type of business or should I focus on working more hours when just starting?(like 12 hour days for 5 days)

- my name is James - I am 36 years old - My goal is to be able to slowly grow in contracting then take my earnings and 1031 it into real estate. Rinse and repeat till I am making 50K net monthly. Retire my wife and travel. - the challenge for me is to understand what i am missing when submitting and winning contracts. I just started and only submitted 2 contracts 1 week ago.
