If you could take a Time Machine back to the beginning of your Skool experience, what would you tell your freshman self? What secrets would you pull from your “almanac” in order to give the earlier version of you an edge?

@Alexis Edison that does sound pretty exciting.
HELP WANTED (Weird People Only)
I’m doing video interviews with people who have Skool groups in “Weird” niches …and are making money on Skool. The actual people themselves don’t have to be weird. And technically, the niches don’t have to literally be “weird” …just as long as your group is *not* about making money. Even if you’re “only” doing $1k a month or so, I’d be interested in interviewing you and featuring the interview in my communities. The purpose behind this is to show that Skool can be used for all kinds of stuff aside from “teaching coaches to coach other coaches on how to get coaches as coaching clients.” (And so forth). If you’re using Skool to monetize a community that is NOT about making money and you’re interested, let me know and I’ll reach out. Hopefully it’s cool that I post this here. This is not a ploy to sell you anything. Keep your filthy money!

Super cool post lol.
Rules for this community
I'm not happy with the recent trends in this community. This is a place for genuine conversations and connections with other community owners. This is not a place for you to build your "thought leader" reputation with "4 things I learned in Bali about leadership" type posts and hollow comments. Here's the rules: 1. Don't be annoying 2. No self promotion 3. Don't use chatGPT 4. This isn't LinkedIn: Don't be a "thought leader" (see meme) 5. No engagement farming: Empty content to boost posts and get likes 6. Be positive 7. Make an effort If you see any posts/comments that break these rules - report them. If you're not sure, report them anyway. We're tightening up moderation.

Let’s be honest…
I am new to Skool and love connecting with people, hence my ability to level up just though a genuine desire to chat. I have never been from the world of online anything…I am generally not a “techy” guy and never really have been. I watch some videos on here and almost don’t understand every third word when members get into the techy jargon. I feel super late to the tech game as I am a little older than most starting out I think. My previous careers have never taken me down a path of online forms of money making and this concept is mysterious and complex to me. I am motivated to learn but battle hard with the doubts that creep in because of the lack of direction and knowledge in the areas that seem to be important to make something of this opportunity in Skool. The thing that has stuck with me the most was something Hormozi has said which is, “scratch your own itch”. Well, my itch is just that. How does a regular Joe, or John 😀, like me, break into this world too? How would someone like me who’s never been part of anything like this, actually make a difference and perhaps even a few bucks as a bonus? Where does one get the knowledge to start on this journey without feeling like another guy in someone else’s “get rich” scheme? This has been the compass for my community and the stigma I am hoping to last long enough here, to change. Are some of us not made for this space? Or worse, am I one of them not made for this? Am I just a pretender in an online world? These are the thoughts that a “new guy” like me battles with as I keep pushing along. There is enough out there for all of us but some just have no clue how to reach out and grab it. Just felt like expressing this on a Sunday afternoon as I stare at my community thinking, “what next?” Getting a wee bit overwhelmed if I’m honest.

@Dalila Touhami thanks for the encouragement. Just one of those days where I’ve found more questions than answers lol. Appreciate you taking the time.
