Free Quiz as 'Lead Magnet' For Pay Per Call Campaign
Hey! I've been in the DTC ecom space for the last 6 years as both a brand owner and freelancer, but just a week ago, I launched my first pay per call campaign. Quiz funnels have worked great for me in the past, so I had the idea to create a 'secure your home from mold' quiz with call as the cta on all result pages. All ads focus on getting people to take this free quiz, without any mention of a call. The result pages are filled with personalized content from their answers like value damage estimates, studies around related symptoms they mentioned and more, and everyone has in common that 'based on your results, your home is at risk so we booked a time with our mold expert' which is the call cta. Helps with ctr from ads to offer the free quiz but conversion rate from quiz takers to calls on the result page is much worse then I thought (<2%)... I’m wondering if anyone else has experience using this type of free quiz lead magnet for pay per call campaigns or has found it more effective to prepare the prospect early for the call. Like having hotline or call service in the facebook page name, phone icon in logo/pfp, mention connect with expert or similar in video ad...? I built 8 step quiz funnel for a paint company and that worked very well but I guess that prepared everyone mentally to buy paint at the end, the quiz was not just for show but actually helped them to make the right buying decision on the result page while in my mold quiz they were promised a free quiz to secure their home from hidden mold so a call cta might come as too much of a shock. Not sure... Only one week in so will work on improving the current result pages but also build out the alternative version with early focus on call and simple lander, to compare results, but interested to hear if anyone has ideas, feedback or thoughts on the topic. :) Thanks for all the great content on Youtube John!
