LinkedIn Growth
I only started LinkedIn in April and have seen growth by being sharing valuable content, being consistent, and engaging with others. I still have a lot to learn so for others, I am curious to know, what actions have you taken to grow on this platform.

hey @Monica Miranda - been plugging away trying to build my network on my 'new' LinkedIn profile (think I mentioned elsewhere but I am trying to build Your New Job Journey in the dark from my other job hence needing to start from scratch - always got to be little & often for adding connections for me, then mining their connections to find folks in the same pool and then occasionally changing it up and searching out specific people. also been working on my comment game recently which doesn't seem to have made a big difference but I will persevere! just tipped over the 3000 followers mark this morning which I'm please with as a starting point!
Introduce Yourself! (Start Here - Please Read 👀 )
Welcome to the Elead, the LinkedIn Lead Gen community for entrepreneurs. You are now entering a hidden oasis on the internet for entrepreneurs who want to achieve financial freedom by building a profitable online business. Here's EXACTLY what to do first: Step 1: Introduce yourself in this thread What's your nickname? Where are you from? Biggest strength? Biggest weakness? Which content platform is your favorite? What do you want immediate help with inside this community? Step 2: Learn how to use this community to generate clients ------- Best practices in this community: • Try to level up quickly by commenting and posting your insights in the community. • Hit 'Like' 👍 on every helpful post or comment you see to help others level up. • When you write a post, break up your paragraphs into single sentences like I am doing now - this way more people will read what you write, and actually reply. • Make sure your profile picture is a photo of you. • Be cool. • If you ever get stuck, feel overwhelmed, or are not sure what 'next step' to take, just ask the community. ------ Group Rules: 1) No Self Promotion 2) No Selling in the DM's 3) No Spamming the Community Feed

Howdy folks - I'm Jim! Recruitment has been my bread & butter for almost 20 years now I'm still working in a 'real' job while I launch my new service 'Your New Job Journey' - essentially, I'm fed up with seeing thousands of applications every week that have such poor quality CVs that those people stand very little chance - I know I can help so am building something to do just that Goal - build, help, scale! Based in the UK but have recruited all over the world Struggles for me right now: my 'Jim' / YNJJ profiles are new - my personal profile (15k followers) has been built over all of my years and gets a decent level of engagement BUT I can't use that for my new business launch without risking my employment (which in turn would risk my family / housing security etc) so I'm building brand new from scratch which is definitely tough! Thanks so much @Stefano Curcio Stef for setting this up - looking forward to it!

@Monica Miranda thank you so much for the support Monica - heavily competitive space for sure but I figured there are (unfortunately) more than enough job seekers to go around....
Troll Handling....
Good morning folks - hope everyone's doing well?? Apologies @Stefano Curcio is this isn't the right place for this but I'm a bit stuck with a guy who seems intent on laying into me for some reason - I wondered if anyone here has any experience in dealing with people like this (or even if I should be engaging with him at all??) - at heart I'm a free speech fundamentalist so am not inclined to block him but he's clearly happier to sit on the sidelines taking shots (not just at me, his comment history is incredibly negative)....the funny thing is, his CV is absolutely terrible so he's someone who could really benefit from my help!! I sent him a 'welcome to my new site, thanks for your patience while I launch, here's an intro discount as I see you're still looking for work' message, he responded by commenting on one of my posts saying my service was 'very obviously a scam'...to which a couple of students thankfully jumped to my defence and he deleted but now he seems to be angered by my content and keeps sending shitty messages.....

THANKS @Julie Helmer !!! sound advice
CV Writing
As mentioned in my intro, I've launched a website & CV writing course for job seekers I realise it's not the focus of this group but as I'm not a content writer or web designer, if anyone here has 15 minutes they could spare to look over my website & course (obviously I'll send you a code for free access!) and has any thoughts or feedback I would be most grateful Of course if anyone in this group is looking for a new job outside of their side hustle and is struggling to put together a decent CV then of course I'll give you free access to the course too & hope it helps....

@Dennis Leyton thanks for the input Dennis, I have some testimonials that I have added to the landing page for the course and am working to add to the website - at the moment I'm stuck a bit because I have the website built on a no-code platform (Squarespace) but the course is elsewhere (Thinkific) which isn't an ideal situation but I could find a solution that offered both (other than Kajabi which didn't have as good a site builder)
Testimonials as promotion materials...
Saw something interesting this morning about actively using testimonials, repurposed in either carousels or text posts as promo items....I'm going to give it a try!! Will report back on results! 😁
