Last week I reached out to a nurse who works at an AI company and she responded! I sent the team my resume (crafted by Audrey!) and we are going to talk sometime this week or next! I do this pretty often—when I apply to a job I really think I’m a fit for, I find another person who works there on LinkedIn with a similar background as me and I message them. I mention that we are both nurses and I’m making a career transition and it usually works! I have had several people at least acknowledge my messages, which is more traction than through applications alone :)

I feel like I’ve applied a million places! All I want to say to recruiters is—I can learn how to do anything if you give me the chance! I feel like that’s what is different about nursing than other careers

Hi! I am joining from San Francisco and am currently an assistant director in a peds cardiac ICU here. I have been wanting to transition out of hospital work for the last decade and I finally feel brave enough to do so.
Ditch the Generic Cover Letter & Start Getting Callbacks ☎️
Starting today, we're going to make things a bit more exciting in here! I'm adding exclusive guides and resources that you can unlock with community points! 🔓 Here’s how points work: • You earn 1 point for every “like” your posts or comments receive. • As you gain points, you level up (check out the leaderboard at the top of the community). I've just added our first members-only resource, the Cover Letter Guide, available at Level 2 (just 5 points to unlock)! Let’s talk about why this guide matters. Applying for jobs and not hearing back is frustrating—believe me, I’ve been there. But here’s the truth: that generic cover letter you’ve been using isn’t doing you any favors. Employers are looking for personalized, compelling applications that stand out. The Cover Letter Guide walks you through exactly how to write one that gets noticed. You’ll learn how to highlight your unique skills, align with company values, and finally start getting those callbacks. So, here’s your mission: 👉 Share, comment, and engage in the community to hit Level 2 and grab the guide. 👉 Then, unlock the guide and put what you learn into action! Let’s support each other, earn points, and make real progress toward landing those dream roles! 💬 What’s the hardest part about writing a cover letter for you? Drop your thoughts in the comments—let’s tackle it together! 👇

What are your thoughts on AI helping generate cover letters? It is honestly so easy and such a hack.
Is Your LinkedIn Profile Ready to Make a Great First Impression?
Last week, I shared a job posting from a nurse friend who’s now a business consultant for health tech startups (proof of what’s possible!). Within 24 hours, she had over 100 LinkedIn DMs from nurses interested in the role. 💬 But here’s what she shared with me: She noticed many nurses weren’t showcasing their skills effectively on their profiles or reaching out with clear, professional messages. 👀 In today’s job market, especially for roles outside bedside nursing, your LinkedIn profile is often your first impression. If you’re messaging someone directly about a job, you have to make sure your profile is polished and tells your story. I've created a new guide to help make sure your profile stands out! The guide is free to unlock once you hit Level 5 🔓 It’s packed with actionable tips to help you: • Build a standout profile that highlights your unique nursing experience • Reframe your skills to appeal to non-clinical employers • Craft messages that grab attention and get responses Let’s get your LinkedIn profiles in shape—drop your questions about LinkedIn below! ⬇️ P.S. You accumulate points by gaining comments and likes on your posts! So get to posting to start collecting points to unlock the free guides in the classroom!
