Getting Through To The Decision Maker ☎️
I’m a lead generation marketing agency for local gyms and when I cold call, and the gatekeeper asks me what is the call regarding? I lie and say it’s regarding personal business (like a personal matter, but in reality, I do not know the decision-maker). I do this because I know if I tell the truth, most likely the gatekeeper will not let me through to the decision-maker and hang up. I had a call where I did this and The decision-maker picked up expecting this to be a personal matter and then I went straight into my opener or I revealed that this is a cold call and he asked me then why did you say it was a personal matter? Do you think it is the right approach to lie to the gatekeepers to get through to the decision makers or what do you guys think I should do?
