Citizenship vs location
Hey there. I’m still working on signing up for my paper account and having a hard time finding the answer to a question. I am an American citizen living in Turkey. We have about nine months left here, will go to the US for 8 to 12 months, And then we are headed to Moscow . When I’m signing up, what do I put for country? I read through quite a bit of the FAQ and tried to pull up the link for countries where accounts were allowed, but couldn’t find a very straightforward answer. I worry that using a VPN could cause confusion with the site and cause problems with my account. Thoughts?

I guess this would be a good time to get more comfortable inputting things into AI😅
average cost of spread, fees or comissions??
Hi. today i have a question. I have been trading in my paper account in tradingview app. I have no idea if my wins are reflected after commissions or fees or spread?!!!. i think that commissions or fees aren't apply in paper account!!! My question is , how much on average are in percentage the total fees, comission and spread??? If I were a swing trader, what would be the total costs of each, for example, 10000 dollar trading (buy and sell)? Thanks.

Wow. Does this feel really expensive to anyone else? Are there brokers that don’t charge if you have a minimum balance with them? Does per trade include multiple shares of the same stock? Or if I sell 10 shares of stock at the same time, is that just considered one trade?

Maybe I’m just thinking too small, but I can’t even imagine making a $10,000 trade at this point😂😅 I’m more used to trading a couple hundred dollars at a time, but at 2 to 5 dollars a trade, it seems like most of your gains would be eaten up
Graphs and charts for “How to make money..”
Hey everyone. I’m pretty new in the group. I live in Turkey (I’m American)and started listening to “how to make money in stocks“ on audiobook rather than waiting for it to get here by mail. There’s a lot of great stuff, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to access the PDFs and graphs and descriptions that he’s giving in the book. I don’t mind buying the hardcopy of the book, but it will take about a month to get here. Suggestions?

@Mellor Dixon that sounds fantastic! I am actually going on a trip next week and I feel like I’m putting off a lot of things until I get back. I think another question that I have about all this is what stocks I should be looking at. The IBD website focuses heavily on the big stocks that we all know about. I have many of them in my long-term portfolio. But there have to be a lot of other ones that would be good picks. or maybe as daytraders these would be better to focus on because they move so much in a day? Anyway, yes, I would love to hear all of your fantastic finds, but it might have to be when my schedule returns back to normal in about three weeks.

Of course, my reading today is full of ways that investment business daily can help you find can slim stocks. I wonder if they were all behind a Pay wall when he wrote the book. Not that I mind paying for good information, I just have to decide what I can do myself, and what it is worth paying someone else to help with.
CAN SLIM questions
My plan is to put money into my Stocks account every month until I am ready to start daytrading using real money and I have been looking at the simple weekend routine and the can slim system in the William O’Neill book. I feel like many aspects of the can slim system are watching what other people are buying. Has anyone found good ways to find out that kind of information?

Hi everyone
Hi everyone, it’s Akin from London. I’m glad to be here with you, and many thanks to Tyler for creating this environment. I’m in the early stages of learning and have a question about it. Is it really possible to learn Options and Technical Analysis in the first 6 months? The recommended books on these topics total more than 1,100 pages, which feels overwhelming to study and absorb properly. In this case, how should I approach these books or topics? Watching Tyler's videos probably won’t be enough, and starting the books from page one feels like reading The Lord of the Rings. I just need some guidance because I'll be starting with Options soon and, of course, Technical Analysis after that. Many thanks.

Hey Akın— two things. I saw your name and am assuming you’re Turkish— Merhaba ☺️. I think I have been thinking along the same lines as you since I started this. I love Tyler‘s from the ground approach and his information is super helpful. But I think it would be nice to take a systematic approach from someone who has spent time doing the groundwork for this stuff as well. Let me know if you find any programs that look interesting. And I will keep my ears out as well.
