Mindset Check
Hey hey guys! Where’s our mindset today on our goals? Do we have clear goals set up and how are we forward thinking? A good thing to do is, I know this sounds silly, BUT to channel the excitement you feel about accomplishing your goal by thinking about it already happening sets you up for the energy to keep pushing as well as creates good patterns around your health and goals. 1) I am going to count macros and be in a maintenance phase while really really making sure I get my protein in. 2) I also want to start my morning right when I get up by drink water before anything else! 3) Something I’m going to try to do as well is get between 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day!

How to Calculate Your Macros
Below is the calculator I use, there are many but if you want to get the nitty gritty formula you can go for it! Its straight forward but ask me questions if you need help and if using this for the challenge and goal to start Sunday have it ready to go! I suggest if you want to shed some body fat as a goal that you work up your macros with this calculator and sit on maintenance FIRST for the first 3 weeks. The way food science and cutting for body fat loss works can become dangerous and create hormonal imbalances, anxiety/depression etc. if done too quickly and recklessly. Don't do that on my watch please, always ask questions esp if you plan to cut. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVERYONE CUT. I do recommend you understand how much your body needs to eat just to maintain where you are now because most people do not eat enough. Doing macros can be very damaging if you have any kind of negative patterns with food such as stress eating or overeating. What app do you suggest to log macros that is free? My fitness pal isn’t letting me get very accurate without paying.

Hi my name is Hanna! I am 22yrs old and in school for nursing. I live in Florida! I love working out and continuing to learn about health in every aspect.
