Hey Bob! Welcome to the community, if I were you I'd start with a Prusa Mini personally. As far as stability goes you can't beat the mini, I've had mine for at least 5 years and have had no major repair needs compared to my bigger printers. https://www.prusa3d.com/category/original-prusa-mini/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=EN-US_Search_Text_Brand&utm_id=805226342&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3vO3BhCqARIsAEWblcAPF1obJnButognrUNNDK_SATqerI4WA0lvnZ6xe4mBFixfsPfSYZEaAkg4EALw_wcB

Hey guys! This is my small printer and most reliable 3D printer. Build plate volume: - Height: 7 in (180 mm) - Width: 7 in (180 mm) - Length: 7 in (180 mm) - Supports 1 color at a time - Auto 9-point bed leveling - Filament sensor I use this printer more than any other printer. It came partially assembled out of the box and assembly was simple ... never had a heat block or nozzle issue, barely ever needs re-calibrated, doesn't jam, build volume is big enough for 99% of my prints, nothing but good to say about this one. I spent the extra money on the filament sensor upgrade which has saved a lot of prints from complete failure.

@Ct Parker I have no upgrades for mine, just the filament sensor... ran me about $400
Chess
Hey guys! This is my printed chess set .. it includes a drawer for the pieces, magnets in the board, and magnets in the base of each piece. My plan was to sell them in an Etsy store, I left a slot open on the side so I could print custom signs for each one along with a unit number making each chess set a 1/1 original collectable.

Prusa Mk4 with enclosure
Hey guys! This is my Mk4 ... I bought this one so I could print materials like PETG and ABS while maintaining temperature for proper curing. This allows me to print parts like a radio knob for a car that may be subject to higher temperatures. Build plate volume: - Width: 9.84 in (250 mm) - Length: 8.3 in (210 mm) - Height: 8.6 in (220 mm) - Supports 1 color at a time - Auto 9-point bed leveling - Filament sensor - Can be ran from a webpage While I have not used this one much I have big ideas with it .. I've printed a radio spacer so my brother could mount a radio not meant for a certain truck without leaving a bunch of space on both sides, a SpaceX rocket engine, and an attempt to print custom taillights for my 2008 Dodge charger (see pictures)

Prusa I3 Mk3s MMU2S
Hey guys! This is my main printer I use for most prints ... the Prusa I3 Mk3s with the MMU2S upgrade Build plate volume: - Height: 9.84 in (250 mm) - Width: 8.3 in (210 mm) - Length: 8.3 in (210 mm) - Supports up to 5 colors at a time - Auto 9-point bed leveling - Filament sensor I love this printer but it's a pain to maintain. Tiny parts such as the heat block and nozzle regularly need repair/replaced due to plastic buildup and uneven heating, the MMU2S has many potential points of failure during filament changeover that results in me having to be physically present for any longer multi color prints, and I generally regret upgrading it despite the amazing things I can do with it. That being said it is my favorite printer to work with and I've created literally thousands of tiny things with it.
