Nutrition Guide 🥑
I made this nutrition guide to share with my SK8 fam. This is meant to be a simple resource for improving your overall health and fitness so that you feel like your best self when it's time to lace up. This guide was inspired by my personal fitness and SK8 journey, as well as my time in the Air Force as a Chef and fitness Specialist. Learning over time, the different foods to stay healthy and get some gains. I will release a video about this today for Day 54 of 100-day Skate School. Feel free to comment any thoughts or feedback!🕺🏽

Thank you!
Uncomfy Skate 🫠 Any tips? 🤔
I’ve had my skates for about a year now, so they should be broken in enough! 🤷🏽‍♀️ I think my right foot is a bit bigger than my left because it always gives me the most pain but, it’s my dominate foot. I’ve loosened my strings a bit, changed the configuration of my lace, and bought shoe insoles. Any other ideas would be greatlyyyyy appreciated! 💡🙏🏾

What kinda pain or discomfort do you feel? In what areas of your right foot? If it's a size issue, have you tried thin socks or no socks at all?

@Amber Bolden I was wondering because I personally have wide feet so I had to get skates for medium-wide feet and even then, my right one felt tight on the sides specially after long days of walking, I adapted my lacing and used the round bit of a hammer plus a hair dryer on hot setting to stretch the toebox and sides of my skates (pretty much DYI heat molding). If your feet is not just wide but your toes are crunching inside the toebox then is size issue because the skate is too small, sizing up and using a special insole for the smaller foot might work. If you have any other type of pain, then the solution might be different. Also not all skates materials are the same, vynil boots are stiff and have little give vs a leather boot.
Personalized skates
Hi! So I was wondering what have you done to your skates so far to adapt them to your style and make them more unique or pimp them, I would love to see some pics!

Flat vs Heeled
Hey family, I'm starting to look into some new skates. I'm noticing some boots are flat, some heeled. What is the purpose of each? Side note: I want to get into the ATL Ryde style

This article has a pic that shows the difference of weight distribution between both https://roller.sk8.berlin/flat-vs-heeled/ TLDR: Boots with heels allow you to stand up taller, good for dancing or recreational, while flat skates require a more knee bent position to prevent falling backwards and offer more agility, like derby skating. For your style, I've seen people using both but mostly flat, I'd say that if you're able to rent o try both on before committing to a purchase, it would be great
