New Video: How to Build an AI Slack Assistant in 5 Minutes
A quick one tonight, but still super cool. In this one I show how you can integrate a custom GPT into your Slack channel in 5 minutes - no joke. Chatbase makes this super easy. Check it out, and let me know your thoughts. I plan on making a few more Chatbase tutorials because they have some other cool integrations and these custom GPTs are SO simple to get up and running. Enjoy!

Thanks for this video. Thanks also for helping us to discover Chatbase. I am also exploring Botpress. Could you have a look on it? For example, I would be interested by a comparison between n8n and Botpress.
N8N self-hosting issue
Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve been trying to self-host n8n and ran into some issues. I initially tried using Render, but I’ve had some problems with Node.js compatibility there. I’m considering switching to Railway as a server option for hosting n8n since they offer more resources, but I wanted to check if anyone here has experience with it. Is Railway a good choice for hosting n8n? And if anyone has any tips or best practices for setting up and maintaining n8n on Railway (or any other platform), I’d really appreciate the advice! Thanks in advance! 🙏

Hi Tawana, Did you try the Docker way ? https://docs.n8n.io/hosting/ https://docs.n8n.io/hosting/installation/docker/

@Tawana Mhinda The docker way allows you to have exactly what you need to self-host your n8n. All and only what is needed. But maintaining it on a long period of time could become a serious challenge... To keep things simple, I use n8n cloud. But there, the billing can become also a serious challenge... Nothing is perfect.
RAG Chatbot AI Agent
I successfully replicated this tutorial in n8n, opting to use Wasabi instead of Google Drive for its simplicity. However, when testing the second workflow, I encountered the following error: Error in sub-node "Window Buffer Memory" No session ID found Can you help me ?

Nate, please could you create a video about how to debug a workflow from the logs ?

Hi @James Walls Thanks a lot for this very complete help. I will need some time to study all your ideas. n8n is not so easy to study at the beginning! 👍

I’ve watched two of your videos so far, and I plan to dive deeper into them later. I’ll be doing the same for all your other videos. Regarding your new video, I’m sure I’ll absolutely love this kind of longer format. Too often, creators rush through their content, and it’s hard for me to keep up. Step-by-step, slower videos take more time for you to create and for us to study, but I think they are so much more helpful. This video will be the next one I focus on, and I’ll reach out again after I’ve had a chance to study it.

Hi Nate, Since it’s Saturday, I had the chance to watch the whole video. You’ve put in an incredible amount of work! I really appreciate how you speak slowly and show things in a way that makes it easy for us to follow along and replicate. I’ll be investing quite a few hours to absorb all the lessons from just this one video. Huge thanks for all the time and quality effort you put into making this!

Thank you for sharing this vision with us. It’s ambitious but totally justified given how quickly the community is growing. Since English isn’t my first language, I’m not sure I fully understood everything. It seems like you chose not to go to university and instead jumped straight into work after finishing college. With over 40 years of experience in IT and new technologies, this is something we could maybe discuss privately, if you’d like. But if that feels too personal, no worries at all—let’s stick to the main and general topics of the community.
