Great Podcast To Check Out πŸ”Ž
Had a great time chatting with @Victor Gonzalez owner of Clickrush on his podcast yesterday! If you are an agency owner, marketer, or just want to dive into some general business advice this is a great one. He also dropped a pretty sick model he is adopting for his agency about halfway through I know my SEO guys in here will like… πŸ‘€ YouTube: https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=XAj_u1FVpIW2d9Wu&fbclid=PAAaZjlQGIfSwuBlsZyn2zRADur29iGpBeLU7OkaTmHAfZ3cgoL22utErStX8_aem_AQ7QUl3p4gg-NVx44_PmO5zR6swakPXI7sduuWkmLtbYKbLrH5Y03UiqlKSVbSoHpl0&v=UZF_1Xiy1EA&feature=youtu.be Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6QbNCguS8lZX16KHbXM7Pv?si=xI8qPwsKQSO43MAG4CIt6w

My two cents on compressing time frames & taking action (because my morning was a mess)
So I sat down and wanted to film something real quick for our SEO Agency, and something for the group. Literally, everything was going wrong one by one as I was setting things up. Next thing ya know, 40 minutes is out the door. Instead of WAITING to actually do something and make it "perfect" I decided to screw it, let's just hit record and go. All of that spiraled into a quick 6-minute take I believe some of you will relate with on not procrastinating, taking imperfect action, and optimizing from there. If you have any systems/frameworks you work around for this, or any comments drop em below! πŸ‘‡ Happy Wednesday, let's keep rollin'

How much research do you do before calling?
I am just starting out with my prospecting and I allocated an hour today to start cold-calling. I am planning to offer free on-page as a lead magnet. I ran a Google search for a particular niche in a nearby city with a population of about 165K. I counted down about 20 results and started looking at potential prospects. I brought up the first prospect's website and checked how bad their on-page was. It was terrible. Then I confirmed the CMS platform and how difficult it would be to do free on-page to improve their ranking. They have an Agility site so I had to confirm if that was something I could figure out without hiring someone. I wasn't sure so I moved to the next. Then, I found myself looking at alternate keywords. Were the keywords I had searched for the most natural for this niche? By this time, the hour was up and I hadn't made a single call and had to take my next meeting. Am I doing too much research before I call? Or do I just need to allocate time to research a niche before I start those calls? Thanks so much. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Markups and Margins on Outsourced Work
I am trying to work out pricing for my various SEO and website packages. I would like to have relatively clearly defined packages ready when I am talking to clients. If you outsource a piece of work entirely (e.g. website) how much do you mark it up? I totally get targeting a 60% margin for work done in-house. But marking up outsourced work that much β€”Β the prices start to feel premium. So, for example, we design and build premium custom websites in-house that we sell starting at $5900 for a 7-page site including 5000 words of content. I can outsource a 7-page website with 5000 words of content for $3250. I think it is likely to be a nice site but our premium sites are really great. To get a 60% margin, I would need to sell the outsourced site with content at $8200 β€”Β much higher than our in-house premium sites. So (at least) one of a few things is wrong here, either - we are currently underpricing our premium sites at $5900 - my cost to outsource client sites (with this vendor) is too high - I shouldn't expect a 60% margin reselling websites - I am underestimating the price tolerance of these niche markets I expect it is a combination of a few of these but I would love to hear your thoughts. Ya I mean to expand on that, like we chatted about Will initially you want to 1) find SOLID process for outsourcing to a reputable white label company of some sort (thats key because if they suck then the whole building collapses) and 2) outsource the stuff that takes the most time away from lead gen, process creation, and selling for your own company’s growth. Starting with 40%-60% margins outsourcing is great. After you start to get revenue in just say oh ok now I can train someone for X task and save X per month, and it will slowly raise your margins
