Starting over
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for coming to my community! I started this with no knowledge of what I got myself into. I am completely unprepared yet inspired to jump in and teach what I know in my soul, is information I can share and is valuable. I have made the decision to leave Skool for now, and come back again READY!! I will also change the name of this community to EAT LOCAL, upon my return. We can all eat local. Whether it’s a grow your own, forage the land or find a farmer friend…. That’s module 1😊. If you’d like to stay in contact in the meantime, please message for contact details.. I’ll look you up when I return! All the best each and every day! And since it snowed over 6 inches, my family is headed to the ski hill! 🏂🏂🏂 in winter🥕🥕🥕🥕 in spring-fall! My life in a nutshell 🤩

@Elisa Wadsworth thank you! I can’t wait to figure the tech out… knowledge I have, but I can’t just wing it! You and I are on similar paths… can’t wait to reconnect here!
Lamb’s Quarters
Introducing a WEED that really is a friend! As you will learn, all our medicinal plants have more than one benefit but yesterday, I used it for my stomach. I do not know what came over me ( probably doing my taxes haha) but I knew how to help! Last summer, I harvested enough Lamb’s Quarters to last the year. Once discovering all the medicinal plants that grow naturally in my garden, I changed the way I weed. Harvest first, then weed! I’m so thankful for this plant. The tea tastes like dirt water but it did what it claims to do! Feeling 100% today💪 Hot tip- it also tastes like spinach fresh or frozen. Do you recognize this plant? They are just babies in this picture. Fully grown, they can be 4ft tall with 1000’s of pink-ish seeds.

@Eirik Fure Stensrud I hope you have some too! It’s a great addition to your plate and medicine cabinet!
Slowly but surely
Lovely day community!! It’s still snow covered in BC! But I am getting ancy to start my seedlings. I’m also getting ancy to post my first course. I did join Skool with no knowledge of it, nor any leg work completed. Plus, I’m more of an outdoorsy gal and computer issues are a place for immense learning on my end. Please be patient with me…. I have a lot of great things coming your way! I have 2 passions in my life… full on passions!!!! Feeding my family the food we grow and snowboarding. Both absolutely ground me. Both feed my soul. Tonight is my snowboarding night… and I can’t wait! This shoulder season is the hardest…. As the snow melts, I lament the end of the ski season. As the ground thaws, I wait for workable soil…. I have a complex relationship with spring 😉 Please tell me your passion(s). I would love to know what makes you come alive!

@Elisa Wadsworth I love music too and I just discovered a vintage vinyl store that has great reviews so I’m getting back into it. There’s is something special about touching music! 💃💃.

@Elisa Wadsworth that sounds great! I thought you meant like computer systems… haha!
It’s -25!!!
Finally winter is here…. Just as I start thinking Green! What can you do to prepare for growing your own food while everything is still frozen? Plan! Dream! Visualize! Back bends😉 Life is cyclical and now is the quiet time. We call it hibernation time. It’s my break because once the season turns, it’s game on! There is something so very satisfying about creating the food you eat. And that’s what we will do together! Patience… for community courses, videos, knowledge and SPRING! What would you like to learn about?

@Elisa Wadsworth the struggle is real. You have a greenhouse? I finally have one and it changed my life! I grow watermelons and cantaloupe and sweet potatoes now!!!!

@Elisa Wadsworth we are working on a year round one too. However, I do like hibernation time! For now, it’s my patio window. The pepper I brought in didn’t make it but the avocado tree did!!!!😊😊😊
Welcome and disclaimer
Thank you so much for joining my community. I am a farmer, not a techie. I am going to be a little while longer in creating video content. In the meantime, please tell me where you are from and what growing zone you are in. I'm in zone 3... snow-covered and another drought is on the way sadly! I would also love to know if you are new to growing your food or expert level!! Have you ever foraged for medicinal plants? Did you know WEEDS are your friends? Haha...this will be a main topic as weeds have a bad reputation and I'm here to change that! That gets us going for now! Brag away!!!

@Eirik Fure Stensrud this is amazing! And beautiful!! Welcome from BC , Canada! I love what you do and that I’m going to learn from you! I tried to convince my family to like sauerkraut… it was a hard no! I have a few more years until I get apples and can not wait for my first crop! What about weeds as food and medicines?
