The Art of Killing Fear has no place in battle Love has no place in battle Anger has no place in battle Convert the body and mind into a deadly weapon This, without end, is the path of the warrior Watch me evolve or die a beautiful death. These words are chosen carefully by me in the study of the art of Budo. Bu means war and Do means way in Japanese, the way of winning transcends styles. In order to understand combat psychology, start with understanding that your feelings are irrelevant to the โ€œright moveโ€. Doing the right move consciously takes an eye removed from morality. Understand that behind all things there is a reason, and we may begin to learn the true subtleties of combat psychology.

The Art of Timing
Advantage is subject entirely on timing. Solving for the logic of the opponents weakness can be done from the lead position, or while following. Difficulty in this lies in 3 areas: your traits, the opponents traits, and the environment. Having time to solve and process obstacles is afforded to the one that is in control of the fight. This means that being the leader is the natural position of advantage. As the fight develops. You will understand who is truly in control, as even followers can lead the fight. The ebb and flow of combat is a living, breathing creature. Flow is ever-changing. Understanding the art of timing means you must understand types of people. First, large groups are to be quantified. Then, we refine by using multiple subcategories with more pointed perspectives. Using already existing groups by drawing paralleled can give insight to a persons motives and values. This makes them predictable, โ€œbirds of a feather flock togetherโ€, as they say. It takes a special eye and unique perspective to do this, and my mentor Kaizenmaster has this special eye. Kaizen opened my eyes, and now I seek to develop what he taught me as I pass it to others. As I said before, categorizing competitions is an important part of timing, but thereโ€™s so much information out there to recognize so itโ€™s also good to categorize competitive behaviors. This is where I classify things with broad strokes, I categorize things as offense, defense, jabs, and disengagements. This is the beginning of learning to read the chessboard of a fight.
