How many times a week are you communicating with your clients? This could be video calls, slack/ sms messages, phone calls any form of communication between you and your client... We have a KPI over here to try to communicate with our clients AT LEAST once every two days... Why? The Progress Principle The progress principle is a simple theory that states that people feel more motivated when they see progress being made towards a goal. By sending as many updates as possible to your clients with the work you are completing you are literally showing them proof that you are making progress. Think about it - if you got a message every day telling you all the hard work one of your employees was doing for you I'd assume you would be more reluctant to fire them? Use this principle to your advantage as an easy way to decrease your client's buyers remorse and increase their confidence in your services
