What kind of music do you play as background when you give your Reiki session?
What kind of music do you play as background when you give your Reiki session? Let’s share! I personally find that the right background music can enhance the energy flow during a Reiki session. Whether it’s soft instrumental, nature sounds, or specific Reiki music, it all contributes to the atmosphere. Maybe you use the calming sound of OM chanting, or you prefer to have no music at all. I’m curious to hear what works best for you all. Let’s share your favorites and maybe discover some new tracks to try! PS: You can also add YouTube videos to your comments.

I use InsightTimer for soft meditative background music. Sometimes with a faint timer chime sound.

Introduction
Hi all, my name is Dawn. I am a retired nurse. Yoga practitioner for 15 years and a yoga teacher for 4 years. I completed a Reiki master level almost a year ago. I have incorporated Reiki in some of the yoga sessions. I have participated in reiki share circles and offered short sessions at a festival. I have been approached about teaching reiki and slowly preparing myself. Like all levels , I will know when I am ready. I took my training with a person who encouraged fast movement through the levels. I have many books and watched many YouTubes in order to gain more knowledge. I feel being around like minded people is so powerful.

How do you prepare for a Reiki session
What’s your favorite way to prepare for a Reiki session, whether for yourself or for others? Do you have a special ritual or routine? Perhaps you wear a specific Reiki outfit, meditate beforehand, or set the space with candles and music? I’d love to hear how you create the right energy for your practice.

For myself I set intention and repeat the 5 Reiki Principles. I meditate to do my work honestly. I ground myself and call-in my bubble of protection and connect with spirit guides & ascending reiki masters.I air draw the reiki symbols into my space and onto my palms. I fluff up the space above my body and then start my session. This is pretty much what I do with other people also. After completing session I sweep the air above body 3 times down to the earth for rejuvenation of any stagnant energy. I close by thanking Reiki and my spiritual guides for their assistance.

@Fardau Jansma I also teach and lead Yin yoga sessions and have offered reiki a few times. That is a goal to facilitate a yin reiki session on a regular basis. I also lead a chair based accessible yoga class and have incorporated reiki a few times.
