@Nate Herk interesting that might explain the problem I've been seeing. I'll have to look into doing that
n8n playground when hosting on railway
Hi newby here. I'm hosting n8n on railway. I'm trying to use the API playground to test the get/users endpoint, and it's returning no data. I got the projectid from the railway dashboard, but I'm unsure if that is what n8n is looking for. I've got my api key plugged into the playground I think successfully, but the authorize box remains red, as a show in the screenshot, but not sure if that's the expected ui look?

Ok in n8n goto the set credentials tab for that node. Then click docs. That should tell you what you need for it. I'm not hone right now so I can't check it out right now.
For people having problems with the N8N API node and credentials
For over a week I have been trying to figure out how to get the N8N API node to work. With the help of @James Walls, I got it figured out. I am self hosting with the starter kit. I went through all the documentation and tried everything it said and none of it worked. I ended up reaching out on here and found the answer. once you get your API Key, change the base URL to http://127.0.0.1:5678/api/v1. Which is similar to what the documentation said to do and what I found online. the problem was what i found online also said to remove the 5678. leave it as localhost. and a bunch of other ways. the documentation says you won't be able to get it working unless your not using the free plan. So to make it simple for those trying to figure this out also, I decided to make a post about it.Granted @Nate Herk mentioned i should lol. so here is a step by step on how to do it. 1. Goto settings/n8n API. 2. generate an API key. 3. Then open the n8n node click create credentials. 4. paste in your API Key. 5. change the base URL to HTTP://127.0.0.1:5678/api/v1 That should be it. If this helps anyone else I'll be happy

@Kurt Anderson what's your question?
Spreadsheet data analysis with AI agent?
Trying to do some 'real world' applications now and wondering what the best approach would be. I have spreadsheets of data containing growth trends, market leaders, search volume, etc. Wondering what AI model and basic framework everyone thinks is good for analyzing spreadsheet data with numbers and percentages

@James Walls You could always use Ollama. it is free and the models are pretty good, some even rivaling openai all i use is ollama

@James Walls yeah with the Allama I normally have to massively tweak the prompts to get it working 100% of the time. That's what I use gpt for. I also was using gpt4all when I was hardcoding my ai in python. It worked but with n8n I've already far surpassed what I had using python in a week. I did the python for 2 years.
