Disturbing tenant
Hi Team just want to run this by you. My friend said the tenant she has have been living with his girlfriend in the house and she was not suppose to be there as the lease did not allow it (she moved) and they have been arrested by the police last night. Neighbors said the arrest was dramatic and disturbing. She would like to know how she should go about it? I am not seeing anything in law that said about the arrest or clear picture on having a guest moving in without approval? Thoughts? Thank you

Comment, so I got sued..
Guys, I had a tenant, she slipped and fell and sued us and owner. On top of that she claimed she had a baby and lost it.. and she had just had a baby that was 2-3 months old, well I found out owner didn’t have insurance, but guess who did. Well, her attorney sent both owner and I a max claim of 1 million, so I told our attorney we need to fight this. She is one of those persons that hates everybody, talks down, cursed at landscaper, talked down to the AC person, I mean I had to get testimony from each vendor to show her character. So, this had been going on since June 2022 as a property manager this was stressful, how can someone get 1 million from us when they lied. In the testimony she lied about notifying us the stairs were faulty and we were negligent as a pm, that never happened. She even said she had proof, well we needed to go to court to see this proof because 🤯, we’ll all that to say a few weeks ago we received a letter saying the tenant was withdrawing her claim, man that was a relief. Have you ever been sued or have a similar story?

Thought I Should Share This On Squatters
https://twitter.com/abc13houston/status/1640780823971373072?s=46&t=6jBHWTHs2tZhB5By9lfbJA The key here is that the owner reported that they were trespassing not squatting. 🤔
