My first barber ad(s)
I'm diving into paid ads to promote me as a barber so that I can book my Sundays with 10 cuts. If 10% stick with me, I have systems in place to retain them and encourage them to leave reviews or make referrals. If I retain more than 10%, I'll build my client book much faster. So that means I get to set and hit BIGGER goals. I'll share my process here. First step is setting up a target market. There are dozens of options, not sure if it's worth it to get specific. If yes, please let me know, and I'll add details about their interests to make these ads reach my target. Men 25-35 Single Renters College grad/In college English/Spanish speakers Within 20 miles of my shop For those of you who've done this before... Is this a solid start worth testing? Or would you make changes.

I'm diggin Tomb 45 right now. They might be the production that makes handles with interchangeable cartridge inserts. That way you can change how much of the blade's exposed. This helps for having options between shaving and detailing. Or helping beginner barbers get comfortable with the tool. Highly recommend as anyone's next razor.

Whatever outfit I'm wearing tht day is what I rock during the day. So typically loafers, monk straps, Jack Purcell's, or Vans. Don't think about it much.
🚫 DON'T BURN BRIDGES 🚫
A few months ago, one of our barbers left us suddenly. She had been a great asset to the team and, importantly, left on good terms. Fast forward a few months later—she asked me for a reference for a new job. I gave her a strong recommendation, and now she's going to be managing their entire store. This isn’t the first time I’ve done this for a barber, but it’s a good reminder: If you ever decide to leave your shop, ALWAYS leave on good terms. You never know when you might need the owner's help again.

I find most people think in dramatic ways. So they have a problem but think it has to be solved in a dramatic ways. You rarely, if ever, need to "tell someone off" or "cut things off with someone". Just focus on what you need to focus on. Then there's always an opening for a relationship you don't like to change into something positive. But once you force a dramatic end. Burn the bridges. There's NO GOING BACK. I like freedom. Would be miserable not having all the options I could have had simply because I was impulsive and had a bad attitude.
Clippers
What are some good clippers? I can look into getting as a new starter to start learning to cut hair
