A few months ago, one of our barbers left us suddenly. She had been a great asset to the team and, importantly, left on good terms.
Fast forward a few months later—she asked me for a reference for a new job. I gave her a strong recommendation, and now she's going to be managing their entire store.
This isn’t the first time I’ve done this for a barber, but it’s a good reminder: If you ever decide to leave your shop, ALWAYS leave on good terms. You never know when you might need the owner's help again.
