Hi, Is there anyone who's enrolled in the cinematic music course by Ariel, if so how do you like it? Also is there a small preview somewhere? Thanks.

I've heard some people try to make this notion that every musician needs to be live performers and if they don't, then they're not truly musicians. I make music myself, but I don't like nor want to be a music performer in front of people at live time. I'm not up to that, and I'm not going to pretend to be about that life. It takes a lot of time, effort, skills, practice and dedication to do that stuff, but I don't see it as the end all-be all to music. Just because you can show how fast you are on the guitar or piano doesn't make you a better musician. I feel doing covers is fine and all, but not a thing you HAVE to know as a musician. I've seen so many covers of many songs but then I go on their channels and their music sounds like the people they keep covering or it all sounds boring. I know a lot of people are amazed by that stuff, but I've grown to not be so awestruck at a bunch of covers and live performances just because they're doing it. There's more to music than just copying other people's music for fun or showing how fast your fingers are on a piano or how quick you can hit a drum. I see this poor way of thinking not that much different than people thinking martial artists have to automatically get into the ring and fight people just because they train in fighting styles. Not everyone should be combat sports fighters. Just because a highly trained martial artist that doesn't compete in fighting, that doesn't mean he or she can't rough up somebody for real. Just like if a musician doesn't perform or do a bunch of live covers and rather just make music in the studio. That doesn't mean their musical skills aren't legit.

As I said, please don't overthink it, because we just wanted to check what category we would like to start first ... simply because we have to start somewhere and there will be all four! :) With this being said, I want to introduce Cinematic Music, a guest course by Ariel Yznardo. Ariel will deep dive into common structures, melody types, his approach to templates, arrangement and all the goodies you need to write Cinematic Music. Finally, he will jump into writing music for the four different styles as mentioned above - of course, as for the poll, he will start with "Epic." 🚀 Please be aware that this will not be a notation or sheet music course. All will happen in the piano roll and inside Cubase. As a thank you for early supporters we will make this course available for 69 USD and then, depending on the added content, gradually move up the price. In short, if you grab it fresh & hot and support us including a bit of patience, you will have a big advantage, because this course will also end somewhere around in the 179-249 USD region. Cinematic Music can already be ordered in the Classroom directly. No coupon or any external links needed. I also want to address something briefly. This is a guest course, so we can't make this accessible for free to program or pass owners. If you do the math, it wouldn't work out by instantly paying someone thousands of USD upfront to give around 70 people access to it. I can explain this a bit deeper if you want, but logically it wouldn't work out, especially if, at one point, there would be more program members and guest courses in the future.
