Study Techniques and Tips - What Works For You?
Hey everyone! If you're like me, finding effective ways to study can be a bit of a challenge. Here are some cool techniques that might help you out: - ๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ผ ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ป๐—ถ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ - Study in short, focused bursts (usually 25 minutes) followed by a 5-minute break. After four cycles, take a longer break (15-30 minutes). This helps maintain focus and prevent burnout. - ๐—ฆ๐—ค๐Ÿฏ๐—ฅ ๐— ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ฑ - Involves five steps: Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review. Actively engage with the material to better understand and retain information. - ๐—™๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ป๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ป๐—ถ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ - Teach the material to someone else in simple terms. This helps identify gaps in your understanding and reinforces your learning. - ๐— ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด - Create visual diagrams that connect different concepts. This helps organize information and visualize relationships between topics. - ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น - Test yourself on the material instead of passively reviewing notes. This strengthens memory retention. - ๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป - Review information at increasing intervals over time. This technique leverages the psychological spacing effect to enhance long-term retention. - ๐— ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜€ - Use memory aids like acronyms, visual images, or rhymes to help remember information. This makes recall easier and more effective. Iโ€™d love to know โ€“ which of these have you tried before, and whatโ€™s your go-to study method? What works for you?

@Ryan Katelnikoff I had no turbine blade calcs. 1 or 2 Pump calcs, and 1 calculate the weight of "x" pipe of 2m or whatever which is basically just using the chart in the supplement. Simple stuff. 2b1 was actually my best mark yet I didn't find it hard at all, wrote it in about 40 mins. Just had a good understanding of turbines, the blade designs etc and you'll do good
