Politics
This being my first year to vote I have been more intrigued by the political sector, so I been looking at it from a psychological perspective. There’s a three step process to get to the US vs. Them (in-group and out-group). (1) categorization, (2) identification, and (3) Comparison. Essentially you find a group, adopt its behavior , and then find a competing group (or rival). The problem is people are obsessed with their group (Republican and democratic). So instead of being understanding/relational. If someone’s view is not from the same group they see that person as someone who needs to be “ fixed”. I what to your hear your thoughts. How can our Christian worldview play in this secular sector?

This is a great thought. In my opinion I think as Christians we must vote where we find our convictions. There must be an adequate amount of study done on each candidate for this year particularly and the choice be made from there. However, beyond this election it ought to be an important goal of Christians to seek to build a community of people in the Church who are loyal to ways of Jesus. This means being open to all ideas, even those outside of the party one falls within. I believe change in the government, from a Christian perspective, will be sparked by an outbreak of radical thinkers in the Church. There must be a wider view taken and an importance laid upon justice, and an essence of utilitarianism. That is me rambling though.
Advice
Have any of you ever felt like you want to know so much but don’t know anything? How do you overcome this theological anxiety? Also, my joy in life is trinitarian theology, so I’d love resources to keep reading and expounding my knowledge in these areas, specifically Spirit Christologicy.
