"Bridging the Distance: A Dad’s Unwavering Love"
Being a dad is one of the most meaningful roles I’ve ever had, but sometimes, it’s also the most heartbreaking. I’ve always tried to show up, to be present, and to do everything I can to let my daughters know how much I love them. And yet, there’s this distance I can’t seem to bridge—a space that feels so much bigger than I want it to be. I don’t have all the answers, and maybe I never will, but being their dad means I’ll keep showing up. I’ll keep trying. I’ll keep loving them, even from a distance, because that’s what being a parent is about—loving unconditionally, no matter how hard it gets. If you’ve ever felt this way as a parent, you’re not alone. I think we’re all just doing the best we can, hoping that one day, they’ll see it.

Welcome New Members!
Welcome @Paul Vato and @Ester Mizrahi I would also like to thank Ester for her patience while we got her into the Skool group and were trying to get her into the Parent Power Hour. Luckily, I was able to call her on the Owwll app and help her get into our group. As a parent during the holidays what is your priority?

The challenge is that she is much closer to her Mom than me but I need to learn to be okay with that
Our Own Space!
Hello butterflies! I have finally found the perfect space for us to come together and for me to make modules in. The power of networking is amazing as that is how I found this space. A friend on Owwll was telling me about GoBrunch. You can purchase templates or design your own room. I'm starting off with a template and then for the podcast will design a custom room which will solve my technical issues I've been having! I am sooooooo exctied I'll be offering a tutorial on it soon and will begin recording content to put here in our classroom. I couldn't wait to share the space with you! Feel free to go in and take a look at it. Check it out: https://gobrunch.com/parentsupportnetwork See you in the classroom!

Awesome!
Open-nester
You’ve heard of an empty nester right? The little birdies fly off 🦜 and we as parents are looking at our partner like now what? The kids take up so much of our lives that we forget the importance of nurturing the relationship between the adults. Or maybe you were a single parent solely focused on your kids. What now? 🤷‍♀️ How about if we shift our perspective? 🧐 A friend introduced the concept of bing an “🎉Open-Nester.” Being open to the possibilities of life with our significant other after the last kiddo leaves. We had a fantastic conversation in the Parent Power Hour yesterday about this very thing. There is life after kids. We just have to find the common interests with our significant other or find ourselves again if we are single. Take the time to do the things you never had time to do before! It can be an exciting 🎉time. This is why I love this group. We are already such an eclectic group that share with and support other parents! Are you an open-nester and if so how did you deal with it? Or are you like me and trying not to focus on the dread of the kiddo flying the coop?

For us, this is a really nice and comfortable time... Kind of like a warm blanket... Knowing that we have done our best as parents and to see the fruit of our efforts feels good... This past weekend was a good example of this. We attended church with our daughter and one of the other parishioners there spoke very highly of her as she is involved with the choir there and as a Dad I was on cloud 9.
Introduction
Hello you beautiful souls! My name is Tonya and I am supporting my son on his career journey. I thought, surely other parents need help in this area so why not support others along the way? I want to create a community of resources for parents to help their children find their passion and turn it into a career. There are lots of ways to do that which we will explore along the way. I have one biological son at home in high school and his desire is to make music and be a part of the Nerdcore Party Con (NPC) world. Don't know what that is? Just ask! I have two step-children who have pretty much flown the coop and are doing well! Make an introduction post and tell us about yourself, how many kids you have, what are their career interests, or how you can offer support to parents in this community! So excited to be here and I can't wait to get to know you all!

I am the Dad to 3 amazing adult daughters who are all doing so well and I couldn't be more proud of them... My wife and I are adjusting to the empty nester phase but we honestly love it... We have really reconnected well and enjoy each other's company.

@Tonya Davis it's a stage of life that I don't think at least, is addressed and with more of us reaching that stage, I think it's a valuable conversation to have.
