Grow through trials, not just endure.
Following Jesus is not an easy path, but it's the one that changes us from the inside out. I've faced my share of struggles, and maybe you have too. Yet, each challenge we encounter has a purpose. They shape us, strengthen us, and draw us closer to God. Romans 5:3-5 reminds us: "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Key Points: • You’ll face many challenges—keep your eyes on God through each of them. • Seek God consistently, not just occasionally—grow a relationship with Him every day, not only when times are tough. • You are never alone—God is always with you, walking alongside you through every trial and victory. PS: This path isn’t easy, but remember—you’re not walking it alone.

I make an effort to listen to the word of God daily, but sometimes it is not with the focus I need and I miss a lot. But at the very least it’s a good habit that keeps me on the path.

@Luis Sanchez I listen to it and if other things are going on when I'm out walking I know I get distracted with my self talk. But I think something I used to do was pray before which actually helped with the focus. Thanks for the reminder.
Don’t let isolation steal your strength.
Solitude brings peace, not loneliness. These moments in our journey can either pull us into deeper intimacy with God or drive us into dangerous isolation. But how can we tell the difference? Let’s dive deeper into these distinctions: 1. Solitude as Engagement vs. Isolation as Escape: Solitude is a powerful time of connection with God, where we separate from the noise and distractions to engage with Him intimately. It’s saying, “Lord, it’s just You and me, no distractions.” In contrast, isolation pulls us away from healthy relationships, making us vulnerable and drained. 2. Solitude as Safety vs. Isolation as Danger: Solitude is where we find safety in God’s presence. It’s our refuge and fortress. But isolation? That’s where the enemy finds us vulnerable like a lion waiting to strike. When we’re alone without purpose, our spirit is exposed. 3. Opening to God vs. Target for the Enemy: Solitude opens our hearts to God, where we receive peace, strength, and clarity. Isolation, however, is an open door for negative thoughts and attacks. It’s a counterfeit to the closeness God offers. Verses to Reflect On: • Matthew 6:6: (The Secret Place): “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. ”This verse speaks to the sacredness of solitude. It emphasizes that God desires personal, undistracted communion with us in the secret place. Here, we find not only solace but divine direction and the whisper of His voice, reassuring us that He sees and knows us intimately. • Matthew 7:7-8: (Ask, Seek, Knock): “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. ”This is an invitation to pursue God actively. Solitude is where we can ask without distractions, seek with full attention, and knock persistently, knowing that He hears us.

I know I often isolate myself. I try to avoid things and that actually just makes things worse. But life is a journey and I keep learning and growing.

When you read the Bible, it serves as a powerful tool to shape and refine your life, guiding you toward a closer relationship with God. As I reflect on 2 Timothy 3:16, I’m reminded that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and training in righteousness.” Each of these aspects is essential for our spiritual growth and aligning our lives with God’s will. Teaching Scripture provides foundational truths about God, humanity, and the principles by which we are called to live. It teaches us who God is, His character, His promises, and His purpose for our lives. • Scripture: Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” The Bible teaches us by illuminating our path and providing wisdom and understanding, showing us how to walk in God’s ways. Rebuking The Bible also serves as a mirror, revealing areas where we may be falling short of God’s standards. Through rebuke, it helps us recognize and confront sin in our lives, calling us to repentance and growth. • Scripture: Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword… discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” The Word has the power to pierce our hearts, exposing areas that need change and drawing us closer to holiness. Correcting While rebuke reveals where we’ve gone wrong, correction shows us how to get back on track. Scripture guides us back to God’s ways, offering wisdom to replace sinful habits with righteous living. • Scripture: Proverbs 3:11-12 encourages us, “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.” This reminds us that correction is an act of love, helping us grow closer to God’s standard. Training in Righteousness Finally, Scripture trains us in righteousness, helping us to develop discipline and grow in godly character. This training equips us to live in a way that honors God and serves others.

Being rebuked and corrected can be a challenge as we are prideful. It is a wonderful thing when we are humble and look to learn and improve when we realize we have strayed a bit, but it can be challenging to know that it is a way to get back on track through the love and guidance of God.
Letting go of pride increases spiritual growth.
Embrace humility to transform your life. To truly allow God to work in your life, you must let go of two major obstacles: pride and ego. These barriers prevent you from fully embracing God’s calling on your life and limit His transformative work within you. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Surrendering pride and ego is how you draw closer to God and strengthen your ability to resist the enemy. 1 Peter 5:6-7 reminds us, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you." Humility unlocks the power of submission. When we humble ourselves, we trust God’s timing and allow Him to elevate us according to His plan. Let go of self-reliance and allow God's transformative work to take place in your life. Only when we empty ourselves of pride can we be filled with God’s grace and purpose. PS: When we let go of pride and ego, we make room for God to transform our lives in ways we never imagined. Don't limit His power in you!

Sometimes we think we don't have pride or ego, but then in certain things it comes up. Live in God and it is easier to be humble and more Godlike.
Steward Your Time, Talents, and Treasures Well.
Stewardship has always been a challenge, but also a privilege, especially as men of God. When I reflect on how we’re called to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically to live out God's calling, it reminds me of something simple yet powerful: Everything we have belongs to God. Time – the most valuable resource we have. I’ve learned that once it’s gone, it’s gone, and the Bible reminds us in Ephesians 5:15-16 to be intentional with every moment. The days are evil, and we can’t afford to waste time on things that don’t build His Kingdom. Are you being intentional with how you spend your time? Treasures – In my journey, I’ve had to remind myself that nothing I have is truly mine. God entrusts me with resources, and how I steward them reflects my heart for His Kingdom. It’s not about what I can keep, but how I can give and invest in what lasts forever. How are you using your treasures to build God's Kingdom? Talents – I remember when I first realized that the gifts I have aren’t for my own glory, but to serve others. Romans 12:6-8 teaches us that we are each gifted in unique ways. We’re not called to use those talents for personal success, but to reflect God’s love and truth to others. How are you using your talents to serve? I believe God has called us to be faithful stewards of our time, treasures, and talents. As we grow in these areas, we step closer to living out His divine purpose for our lives. Let’s walk together on this journey of stewardship. PS: Stewardship isn’t just a task—it’s a way of life. Let’s keep growing and living with purpose in every area of our lives! #Stewardship #FaithfulLiving #MensMinistry #KingdomWork #SpiritualGrowth #PurposeDriven #GodlyStewardship #LimitlessFaith

I know growing up I've always hidden my talents and have played shy. It's tough to break out of that. I have always been encouraged to shine, but hold back due to fears or judgements. Matthew 5:15 talks about not hiding your light, but letting it shine for all.
