Introduce Yourself!
Let everyone know you've arrived by telling us: - who you are - where you're typing from - what's the one thing you're trying to learn from this course/community - how you currently feel about your finances (GIFs only) Here's how you do it (see attachment for visual): - Click the 'Community' tab on the top of the page - Click on 'Write something' - Click on 'Select a category' - Click on 'Introductions ๐Ÿค' - Type a title (I'm new here, introduction, etc) - Tell us your story! I'll start! - Hey guys my name is Chris. I'm married with 2 kiddos and have been a corporate accountant for 10+ years - I'm from Connecticut USA - The one thing I'm trying to learn is how to get you guys results even faster (any/all feedback welcome; the good, the bad and the ugly) - See GIF When you see introductions come through, make sure you take the time to welcome everyone! You guys are the true owners of this group, I'm just the guy behind the curtain pulling the strings. So make sure we treat everyone how you would like to be treated. But if you're shy, the best place to start is here.

Introduce Yourself!
Let's Share Our Financial Goals! ๐Ÿš€
I'm a believer that if we share our goals, they will happen faster. Why? Because once you share how you plan on keeping yourself accountable, not only do you have to follow through for yourself, but you'll have cheerleaders, wanting you to succeed, every step of the way. This is the type of community I want us to have. A rising tide lifts all boats, as they say. No goal is too big, small, stupid, irrelevant. So let's push each other. In one of the course videos, I asked you to share your short term, medium term and long term goals using the SMART financial goal framework. If you haven't seen it yet, you can check it out here. I'm going to share mine in here, and keep you updated as I progress through them (or try to). And I encourage you to do the same in your own post. Here are mine! Short Term Goal We need to save $625/month for the next 12 months ($7,500) for half of what was quoted for a new roof because the pros donโ€™t think itโ€™ll last 5 more years ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Medium Term Goal In the next 5 years, I need to make 2x annually what my wife and I are currently making so I can tell her she doesnโ€™t have to work anymore if she doesnโ€™t want to ๐Ÿ˜ญ Long Term Goal In the next 10 years, we want to pay off our mortgage (multiple $100kโ€™s) so we can save $100k+ of interest and become financially free ๐Ÿก
