Whats your favorite Genre?

This thread will be my documentation of the entire build of my new production desk complete with pictures and explanation of every step of the way as well as measurements and materials list. I will be building a prototype out of materials that I have to remove from the studio during the remodel. I'm removing a set of cabinets that run across the entire back wall of my studio building (19 1/2 feet long by 3 feet tall and 2 feet deep). These are the materials I'll be using to build the prototype out of. Suggestions are welcome. If anyone has any ideas about how they would do it differently, I'd like to hear about it. If anyone wants to build one their self and can't quite find the proper design that will work well for them, here's your chance to see something new and won't cause early reflections off the desktop. Complete with 2 racks that are isolated from the main desk that also double as speaker stands with isolation pads on top of each for the monitors. 1 on each side of the desk itself. The desktop shape itself forces the 60 degree width of stereo field forming the equalateral triangle relative to the optimal listening position. Let me know what you think as this journey unfolds.

What are people’s go to vocal alignment when it comes to manual/stock methods. I’ve been doing the cut and nudge but it’s soooooo time consuming. But I’m learning so I don’t want to skip this process with something like VocAlign just yet. I sometimes use flex but it always seems to mess my takes up in parts, introducing artefacts to parts that are stretched or squashed. I recently saw a method of using a lead vocal as a groove track and ticking the backing tracks to follow that lead. But it seems to mess with the takes too much to the point there’s almost like a tinny, robotic doubling to them. Any advice here is greatly appreciated also.
