Help! Looking for new skates. Again 😅
I got this bad habit of whenever I plateau I think its something wrong with my current skate setup. And I've only been skating for a year 😅 This time feels different though. At first I really liked groundwork but now whenever I see either @Adontis Atkins or @Knejie Allen doing those crazy pivots, snaps, spins and other unique footwork I just know in my soul gotta do that. Very inspired to say the least. Lets talk equipment! Right now I'm rocking low-top, VNLA freestyle pros because they were so comfy and the ankle mobility is insane. The trade off for that ankle mobility it that there isn't as much stability for spins and such. Another factor with low tops is that most of the weight is on the heel compared to a high top where the weight is 50/50 heel and toes. If you've been practicing one foot pivots or toe manuals you'll know how much effort it takes to stay on those toes. That effort is a lot more with low tops because of the weight distribution I was talking about. Not to mention the plates of high tops have thier cushions at an angle to help with doing manuals. All that to ask; What high top skates/trucks would you recommend??? I've heard great things about Riedells like the 3200s but still am not too knowledgeable about other options. For plates the Powerdyne Arius is the hype right now or the classic kings Roll-line. I'd love to hear everybodies experiences in finding the skates that worked for them and their skating goals as well! Keep on rolling yall! 🔥🔥🔥
