@Michael Ulm Thank you Micheal, for this detailed feedback! Flattening the background makes sense to me, and I love the ideal of varying the transparencies of the leaves. I tend towards a colorful/painterly style as it's what I'm most comfortable with but I really want to push myself away from anything too "realistic" or "photo derived" to develop an individual style and partly to speed up the rendering time. For example this took about 4 hrs.

@Henry Gao thank you I realized after asking this would be more or less the same process hahaha but with drawing which is more fun. For the larger scale as long as you know the elevation of contours I think you could sketch the section the same way, no? Is there a limit to how far you can zoom out?
