Your suggestion to “develop a fan base” makes so much sense for where I am right now as opposed to my initial question regarding project donations/donors. Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity—create it. To maximize your chances of getting produced, commit to consistent submissions to theaters, festivals, and grant programs aligned with your play’s themes. Start today: research five theaters or grants that match your work. Draft a customized pitch email for each, highlighting why your story aligns with their mission. Set a goal to send at least two submissions this week. Consistency, paired with targeted effort, paves the way to Broadway.
