Be the Light: A call to come together as community
Hello sisters! Wanted to check in and share some plans in hopes that we can connect and encourage one another. Mark your calendars and join in! - weekly prayer call at 8:30 pm EST - Submit any prayer requests by Sunday night - Weekly live call at 7:00 pm EST on Wednesdays - Be the Light! A call to shine for Christ Donny and his business partner are opening a Christian gym in San Antonio! So excited to see what the Lord has planned for us! Everything is coming together quickly by the grace of God with the plan to open by December 1st. Stay tuned for more details relating to classes for the ladies as well as the kids. Comment below or message me if you would be interested in attending a class via zoom or if you would prefer a pre-recorded link and your fitness style preference. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Refreshed and Strengthened
Oh dear sisters, I am praying for you and your loved ones, and asking that the joy of the Lord fill our homes in these days. I pray that you can draw near to Him as you honor the Sabbath, as it is such a gift that He gives us His peace when we rest in Him. May we turn up our worship and sing songs of praise as we trust fully in Him. Leave a comment below giving Him thanks and praise! It will refresh your soul to praise Him out loud! We were made to worship. 🙏🙌🏼 Sharing a few scriptures that uplifted me this week: “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭28‬-‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

YES!! AMEN!!🙌
Perseverance through Trials
God is so good to give us the words we need in the moments we need them. We are overcoming sickness in our household and thanking God for healing over our physical bodies, in Jesus name. This week, Pastor Ed offers a segment of devotionals around the trials we face, and how God uses trials to prepare us so that we can receive the blessing on the other side of it. God is with us in every trial and will give us the perseverance through it when we rely on Him. Remembering that His power works perfect in weakness, when I am weak, He is strong. Regardless of how we feel, we can tap into His power, a power that is limitless and perfectly suited to meet our every need. I can testify that I can feel His presence when I pray the Word over my life, my body, my husband, my children, my circumstances- because the Word of God is active and full of power! "It is sharper than the sharpest, two edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow." Hebrews 4:12 Whether you are in the midst of a storm or coming out of one, or just trying to keep your head above water, do you see God's hand in your life? Praising God for who He is and what He has done always helps me to see His goodness regardless of circumstances or how I am physically feeling. I attached some prayer starters from Wanda Alger and the song, "Yes, I will" by Vertical Worship is one I sing over my trials. Take some time today to journal to keep a record of His faithfulness in your life. Perseverance Through Trials: by Pastor Ed Newton "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope."- Romans 5:3-4 When you're going through a tough time, it’s natural to want the trial to end as quickly as possible. But have you ever considered that God might be allowing the trial to be prolonged because He’s building something essential in you? That something is perseverance. While it might be uncomfortable, perseverance is one of the most important qualities you can develop in your spiritual journey, and it’s crucial for the road ahead.

Amen!! All that we go through and endure is preparing us to do His will. And to know that He is with us, supporting us, loving us through it all- thank you Lord!!
Introduce yourself and share your favorite worship song that keeps you praising Him!
I will go first as an example: Hey ladies, I just moved to San Antonio, TX from Pennsylvania, with my husband, Donny, and two children Daxton (4) and Kinsley (2). We are learning how to walk by faith, not by sight, literally. The Lord has been working in Donny's heart as he resigned from the federal government to pursue the entrepreneurial lifestyle of fitness coaching in faith full time. The Lord has been working on me, and called me home to my children after a 15 year career in education/school administration. Our song these days is Jireh, trusting that the good Lord will provide! Our previous church wrote our story on their blog if you want to hear more about the Mallin's faith journey: https://dutilhchurch.org/blog/ysmh-mallinfamily

Hey Sisters! My loved ones call me Britt. God put it on my heart to refocus my life. He gave me the opportunity to "retire" from a 20 year career in dental hygiene to focus on my family and to serve Him. My journey has gone from feeling like a broken, shameful, worthless person to the beautiful realization the I am treasured, loved, and worthy. He brought me back to life... Taking time to read scripture and have meaningful prayer time have brought me to understand what it means to say "He is my rock and my salvation!!"
