Commodification of Players for Coaches
The portal is a two way street. Players are more transient than ever before, but coaches are also much more willing to ditch players that don't develop and shop around in the portal for an immediate upgrade. More here: https://coachcahill.substack.com/p/everything-means-nothings

Academic Mega camps
Miami of OH just cancelled the specialist portion of their mega camp on June 7th. Pushed it to the weekend with only their coaches. Any other suggestions for mega camps that the Ivy League will attend? I am doing Yale and Princeton at their school, but wanted to compete in front of all. I have a civil rights service trip to AL for a week in June that is making it hard to attend some camps. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

There is a big camp at Marist I believe with everyone there. Let me check
Camp Question
How many camps do you recommend over the summer? We see different numbers across our friends and acquaintances and wondering what is the proper range for a rising junior (2026). Also, do you prefer academic mega camps to school specific?

In theory there is no limit, but there should be. You want to prioritize going to camps where coaches know you, like you and expect you there. Don't go to so many cold camps where you are just showing up with no prior connection. I think having 48 hours off in between camps is important. And, travel days really are not rest days either per say
What's better for coaches when looking for punters?
What's better for college coaches when they're looking for a punter? Hangtime or distance?

Both. Always strive to have a 1:1 ratio hang to distance ie 40 yards 4.0 seconds of hang. 45 yards 4.5 hang. Location, hang and then distance in that order.
