Active recovery/off days
Anyone have good insight on what to do on off days? I need to be doing something almost everyday, enjoying the program and don’t want to inhibit my progress on “off” days. My PT has recommended for my back that I keep moving as being stoic causes discomfort. Any help is greatly appreciated. Happy lifting everyone!

@Mike Boyer during the pandemic I got a 10 lb and 20 lb sledgehammer at ace hardware since all the workout equipment was sold out. My shoulders never felt better!

@Mike Boyer I got the 10 and 20 hammers, and I have an actual 30lb steel mace. I honestly don't use it much though
New form check
Ok, listened and hopefully applied some knowledge. Straightened my wrist and let my head flat on the ground at the bottom. Thoughts?

@Grant Anderson sounds great! I'll keep trying to improve! Hopefully more than 3 hours of newborn baby sleep will help in my progress as well haha
What type of training do you guys do?
I do jiu jitsu 2-3 times a week and I like hypertrophy for training mostly. I love kettlebells, specifically getups to warm up, bro split, then finish with swings for cardio or mace swings for shoulder mobility. It's been a pretty decent system for the last year or so. Do you guys do all kettlebell stuff, incorporate it into other stuff, strong man things, etc? Just kinda curious. By the way, the coaches here have some really impressive getups!

Yeah, I definitely think the big kettlebell movements work for what most people do. I do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and do a TON of triangles, so my hamstring will get pulled if I don't strengthen it specifically. So there's a few things like that. My buddy in town is Max Shank and he's an RKC master, whatever that means haha. I like his book on kettlebells, I just don't know if they're a one size fits all and just curious about what other stuff you guys do to help with mobility and strength. Also with certain body types. Like at one time I wanted to do heavy kettlebell presses, but over the years my ac joint gets arthritis after so many years rolling and it seems to be a bottleneck for me. Just seeing ways you guys work around those.

@Grant Anderson yeah, I agree with Adrian, just a matter of what bells I have available. Though I do love some heavy swings! This one was a monster, but just feels so good to throw around! Unfortunately I only have access to the big bells once a week, and not at all recently with my third baby haha
Reverse getups
I don't know when it started, but I was shown how to do getups from the top and I really love them more than from the bottom. I was also was shown a kind of bridge with a straight leg near the bottom I haven't seen in the getups here. Not sure if it's just a slight modification or a hinderence but I figure I would ask for a form check while I'm here. Thanks guys! This one is with a 36k

That makes sense, I really appreciate it! I'll work more on those finer details!
